Thomas, Russell, William and Robert Kench of Maine

I have no connection to any of these families but wanted to post this. This is from the October 29, 1846 Lime Rock Gazette (Rockland, Maine) in the "Gazette Marine List - Port of East Thomaston"

"Sch. Active, of Castine, (mackereling) is supposed to have been lost with all on board, on Jewell's Island, below Portland, in the late gale. A letter has been received stating that part of a cable &c. with some empty barrels and small articles had been saved, no insurance: she was owned by Amos Smith and brother, who resides on Nautilus Island: Israel Rodman of Brookhaven was master. The following are the names of the seamen: Thos. Kench, Jno. Howard Jr., of Brookhaven, Russell Kench, William Kench, and Robt. Kench (boy)."
I am looking for any info regarding William Kench or his wife Dolly (Unkown). He was born in Cutler, Maine, abt 1745 and died Sedgwick, Maine, in 1782. I don't know anything else about Dolly. Their son Thomas was in the Revolution and I am told that "Kench's Mountain" is named after him. Thanks. DavidVB
