Are you sure this is the same William Kennington? I think there are two in Twiggs County about that time. I am very happy to share any information I have with you! I don't have a Kennedy Kennington as a brother of William. Could you tell me what your tree is so I can check it out? Maybe what I have is inaccurate I am searching for photos right now for this family, trying to publish this research for my mother who is 84 years old. I don't want mistakes in it if I can help it. Thanks for the post!!!

He had children Jasper, Elefair, Essie Ann with an unknown mother, and Britton, Daniel and Eli Madison, whose mother is Callie Collins.
Joanne,

I am researching the Kenningtons of Lincolnshire and you can see my main work here:

http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=1colleen

Some of it is liable to change if data is interpreted differently or if new material comes to light.

I also have several small files for Kennington families which I hope to join in to the main file some time. One of these is your family at Barnetby le Wold. Do you know who the parents of John b. 1762 are and where he was born? I do not have Kitty's baptism but have several other children for John and Mary. I am keen to extend this family and would be most interested in sharing information.

Regards, Colleen

I'm trying to find out who the parents and siblings were of Samuel S. Kennington who was from the Lancaster area of S.C. He was born abt. 1850 and he married Rachel Abigail McManus in 1872. Family history says that he had brothers who moved out to Texas or Mississippi and owned a dept. store. I don't know how true this is. Any info would be appreciated.

Do you know the names of all your Samuel's
children? My Samuel's father was supposedly
John Kennington but I don't know who his
father was. My Samuel was born in 1872.
Do you happen to know anything about an
S.B. Kennington around the same area who
was a shoemaker. I believe he had a wife
named Susan and two daughters Nancy
and Elizabeth. There was an infant Samuel
in his household that could possibly be the
same as mine. I haven't been able to locate
anyone who knows anything about this
group. I appreciate your help.

I have not done much research on this line myself, mainly just on Sarah Ann. If there is anything that I can help you with, I will give it a try.
