Hello, cousin. According to my info, William H. was born 15 July 1865 in McClure, OH and died 24 March 1952 in Lima, OH. We think he is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, though I have not verified it. We think his father may have been named Fredrick, born about 1829 near Hanover, Germany. Speculative may have been Friedrich Wilhelm Kehrmann. Mother may have been named Margaret, also from Germany.
May have immigrated around 1860. Good luck.

A large group of kermans are of Jewish ancestory and from trochenbrod
Russia. A village of about 4,000 which was destroyed in World War Ii.
The movie everything is illuminated is about this village. In Addition, there
Is a society in Israel regarding the town and additional info.

William is my great-grandfather; his wife Rosa M. Hoffman. I can trace Rosa back to her parents, but there is no info. on William.

I too am reseaching the family name of Melady in Hull. In particular a lady called Annie Melady who married a James Grainger in 1904. Any inforamation gratefully rec'd.

Hi,
I've just seen your message, my gt grandfather was Walter Kerman, he was born in Wales but moved to Hull. He had a sister called Beatrice. Walter never married my gt grandma hence my surname being Ashwell. I have no idea if there is any connection.

I don't know if this is much help but my 4xgreat grandmother was Hannah Darnborough from Bishops Thornton. She was born about 1788 and married a Samuel Grattan of Derbyshire in 1813.
I'm afraid that is all I have.

Looking for information related to Irish Kerman families & with luck, some connection to Catherine KERMAN b. 1826 in Ireland, died before 1880. She m. Patrick HOLOGHAN (1821 - c1875). Their children were Mary, Charles, Patrick, Catherine, John, Maggie.

Does anyone know if Kerman is any variation of Cairnes? Or two unrelated names? Thanks, Kelly
