Elizabeth was the daughter of John Kilbride or Kilbridge b 1851 Wigan and Mary Jane Walls b 1856 Wigan, who married Sept 1874 in Wigan. They had 8 children living with them in the 1901 census, and in 1911, 5 are living with Mary Jane who is by now a widow.

In 1911, the family is at 201 Victoria Square Cazneau Street Liverpool. Edwin, born 1884 Southport Lancs, is a railway porter. Elizabeth, married 4 years, was born 1886 in Liverpool. Daughters Mary b 1908 Liverpool and Elizabeth born 1910 Liverpool.

This would seem to be Julian Edwin's birth:

hi I just read your post and I can relate to your frustration, my Grate Grandmother was Katherine A. Kilbride. nee Flynn, She married Patrick J. Kilbride born in Irlenad, however Kate Flynn parents were born in Ireland but she was born in Wakefield, yorkshire England, She married Patrick and the witnesses were alice Hackett and John Slavin. do any of these names sound familiar, hope to hear from you, thanks Susan McGrath Bergen.

I knew nothing of John Kilbride, it sounds very likely that we are related, because my G.Grandfather was in Brooklyn, in l907, Patrick Kilbride, son of John Kilbride, so your John is probably his brother. My Ggrandfthr. Patrick Kilbride was married to a women named Kate Flynn, who died 3 weeks after they arrived in Bklyn, there were 3 kids who were young, Patrick gave the kids to relatives one of them being john and Frances Toomey of Rutland road, who adopted Mary Kilbride my grandmother, and raised her, she grew up and married my grandfather Charles Lynch also of Rutland Road, if any of this sounds familiar please contact me,

Hi I have had my Mtdna done by ancestry.com and there is a richardson family that is a match, so I'm thinking maybe we are onto something here, I haven't had the time I would like to dedicate to this, But I deeply want to know about my G.Grandfather Patrick Kilbride, did you have the dna testing done or any of the Richardson females? please let me know. My GGfath, Patrick Kilbride, marrie,Katherine Flynn in Wakefield, England he was born in Ireland(Roscommon I believe) and they moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1907, she died from a fall from a window 3 weeks later, The had 3 children, Mary(my grandmother, John, and Alice who were given to relatives in Brooklyn,kids were seperated and we only knew John Kilbride for a time I believe he lived in Conneticut. ? Michael's daughter Marie Bridget Kilbride told me that he loved gladiolas and that he tended to his lawn with care. Apparently he had such a small area of grass that he cut it by hand with shears.

hi Colleen,.I am also looking for my G.Grandfather Patrick Kilbride, but mine was born in Ireland, went to Wakefield, and married my G.Grandmother Catherine flynn had 3 kids, went to NY in l907, and Catherine fell out of a 3rd story window in Brooklyn. Patrick gave the three kids to relatives who were already living there and went back to fight with the English in India.(F.F.Legion), We never heard from him again, and the 3 kids grew up seperately, never really getting to meet each other. My family know one of the 3 well, My grandmother Mary Kilbride and her brother John Kilbride there was another sister Alice Kilbride, ok. hope this turns something up. thanks. Susan Bergen

I visited the farm in 2003 and Kevin Kilbride was the owner and direct decendant of the family that showed up in Foxley River P.E.I. around 1816 from Ireland.

I have extensive information on the McAlduffs if you want to share, as I am doing a genealogy of the McAlduff brothers, John and Jane (Heathered) McAlduff and his brother James and Mary (Flinn) McAlduff who came to the Cascumpec area of PEI in 1823 from Tullamore area of Ireland.

Im so sorry it has taken me years to reply but life kid of took over. Ive been doing more research lately and getting bits of info about Ireland ancestors but not enough. My father was Micheal Justin Kilbride born in Gaspe to Micheal(born 1866 in Foxley River, PEI) and Rose Anne Kilbride.

Have you met Kevin Kilbride of Foxley River, PEI who still resides at the original farmstead. Not sure if he is still alive but I was there in 2005 and met him.

john corniluis kilbride was some of the kilbrides born on p.e. canada .. i have a james from the same line of family . he married a mary ann rafferty ,, both from canada , p.e. james born 1864 mary born 1865 . or so . they moved to u,s,a, when they married . and lived there all there life . mary ann has to sisters margaret and ellen (RAFFERTY)that married cousins of james . two brother , william and augustine ( kilbride) 3 sisters married 3 kilbrides . 2 brothers and a 1st cousin .. i found william and augustine familys but can not locate james familys .

Do you have a John Kilbride and Josephine Nerville, with a daughter named Josphine born 1915. They lived in NYC. Brooklyn. Josphine got married to a man named Russell Mooney aka Ruppert and the marriage was annuled. I have the papers on this. The childs name was Adelaide born Sept 13, 1932.

There is a wealth of information on this family in an article published in the Island Register named the decendants of John Kilbride and Mary Mahoney. Look it up and you will have a great leap forward in your quest. I am trying to gather information on the other relatives who were left in Ireland at the time John and Mary went to PEI. There is some interesting information regarding Denis Kilbride born 1848 died 1924 who was a member of Parliament from 1887 until 1918 for South Kerry, North Galway and South Kildare. I am trying to determine positively that he is one of the same family.

I am the previous owner of the house in Slidell, who previously lived in Illinois and Germany. Since moving from Slidell we lived in Fremont California, Guam, Jacksonville, FL and now are living in Murphys, CA. I would love to have the photos you mentioned. My wife and I went to the Gulf coast after Hurricane Katrina to help with the clean-up effort in Biloxi and while there we drove past the house in Slidell to see how it fared in the storm. There appeared to be little damage, but we had a hard time locating it since it had been repainted a dark color and the shrubbery we planted out front had been removed. There is now another house built on the lot to the right, where Mr. Charley had built his pier into the swamp.

My mailing address is 222 Snowberry Court, Murphys, CA 95247. My e-mail is tkilbride2atcomcastdotnet. That was a neat house on 433 Nighthawk. How much did you sell it for?

I am looking for info on John Cornelius Kilbride and his family. He was born in Ireland on August 17, 1854 and died October 4, 1914 in Marquette County, Wisconsin. He married Margaret Mary (don't know her last name). She was born September 17, 1863 and died November 7, 1931. They had 3 daughters: Blanche-B.April 1, 1891/D.November 16,1958, Mamie, and Margaret. Jan,I looked up the 1920 and the 1930 census for John Kilbride and Josephine, hoping to find a male sibling to continue a search.But to no avail in both Brooklyn, New York, or New Jersey.Maybe the 1940 census will hold some promise when it comes out.Until then I will keep watch for you.I hope I don't loose contact with you. Josephone Kilbride born-3/12/1915-address 1326 Flatbush Ave, Brookyn,Kings Co., NY She was 18yrs
Russell Mooney AKA Russell Ruppert born 1909
Married 1/1931 in Haskell NJ.
Annulment-6/18/1940
Child born--9/13/1932-Adelaide Mooney under Russell's AKA name.
Josephine's father and mothers name were I think
Father--John J. Kilbride and Mother--Josephine F. Nerveille
If you want a copy of the annulment papers I can scan and send to you. You are my fitst contact with any Kilbride.
Please resond when you get this so I know you have at least seen it. I think Addelaide would be in her 70's now. Thank you so much for repling. If you find any of these people she has a blood sister named Elsie. Russ went into the Army Airforce in WWII after the annulment. That is were he met my mother. He brought my mother and my half sister over to the US in 1946. I wonder if my stepsister knows who her real father is. My father is also unknown as my mother would never tell me who he was. I don't think they were ever married. Jopephine brought Adelaide to see her grandparents Voilet Robbins. As you can see there are so many skceltons in the closet. Thank you Jan
