Does anyone know what happened to W. Smith Kendall, son of John Dula Kendall and Nancy Kendall, after the 1880 census? The 11 May 1923 date of death shown on some public trees is the same as his brother, Thomas Harrison Kendall, so I am not sure that is right.

Thank you for responding and your interest in the project.

The study is international in scope and includes all variant spellings of the Kendall/Kindall surname. One of our goals is to link families worldwide. We currently have 78 members from Australia, England, Canada and the United States.

You may visit the study at either www.dna.ancestry.com (search Kindall) or http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Kendall/default.aspx. If you have any questions, please contact me.

We would love to have a member of your family represented in the project.

Thank you
Scott

Hi again Wayne. My life has been a bit hectic lately, but hopefully it will be a little calmer for a while. I would be pleased to have any info you would care to share about Reason Kindall. As I may have told you, his daughter Delilah was my great grandmother, and there were some mysteries associated with her that it took me a while to unravel. She used her mother's maiden name (Brumbaugh) when she married my grandfather, Geo W. Crow. I finally located their divorce documents, and discovered that her name was really Kindall. Then I found out that her father Reason had been convicted of murder, so she apparently was trying to avoid the stigma associated with her father's reputation. I would appreciate any info you could provide on Reason or his family. Best wishes, Larry Sr.

Hi Wayne. Thanks for your message. I just got back from spending two weeks with my sister in Ft. Collins CO, hence the delay. My name is Larry Schwartzman, son of Kenneth F. Schwartzman, son of Frank Schwartzman. Frank married Myrtle Crow, daughter of George W. Crow and Delilah Kindall. Delilah was Reason's daughter, hence Elias Kindall's sister. I traveled to Ohio last summer and found some information about the Kindalls, including Delilah's grave. I have copies of the divorce documents when Delilah and George W. divorced. I found some information in Ohio about Reason, but would welcome more. If any of this is of interest, please advise. My email is lssr@centurytel.net. I will be here a couple of days and then gone again for a week or two away from computers. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Larry Sr.

Hey Eloise, this is Cleo, we have spoken over the phone. I am glad you had a chance to meet my Daddy (John) and Mom (Pat). I found another Willform, who knew nothing of "The Family". His name is Marlin Willform and he lives in Atlanta. I have spoken with him on the phone. His father was Robert "Bobby" Willform. Marlin has a sister name Valarie. I have also contacted an Alvin Willform, he is in California with you. I just recently learned there are Willform's in Houston, Texas, but they spell their name Wilform, but according to my Daddy, they are still part of the family. I will keep you updated as I find more of us. Oh yeah, since we last spoke, I have a little girl now, Gabrielle. Just another Willform to add to the tree.

Re: Phillip Kindall (information mentioned there)

Hi Randy. In your reply to K. you mentioned use of middle names causing research to be difficult. Could you tell me a little more about this practice? My reason for asking is as follows. On my father's birth certificate, he is listed as Howard Kindal. However, his death certificate information provided by his older sister Minnie (my parents had been estranged for 10 years before my father's death) indicates the middle name McClellan. I am having difficulty researching beyond my paternal grandfather, George Kendle. I have noted that the 1930 census indicates that my grandmother Della Mae Kindal (Miller) was married at age 14 and other dates on that census lead me to believe she was married to someone other than my paternal grandfather before their marriage to each other. I feel that my Aunt Minnie was leaving clues for me but still, what does it all mean?

Perhaps some understanding about your mention of the use of middle names could shed some light on this issue for me. Meanwhile I'm considering taking on the middle name "clueless in Pittsburgh". Thanks for any information you might be able to share with me.

My biological father is Ossie Lee Willform of Arkansas. I believe his fathers name was Jessie Willform. I really don't know anything about my family, but I would love to talk to someone. I do have a cousin here in California that I do know and her name is Sonja Wilform. If we have any relatives out there please contact us.

Hi Katherine,
Sorry, have not checked the Kindall message board in a while. I do not have your e-mail address to contact you directly.

Hi,Randy--Send me an email msg--my email
address is: fredric@ns.net Although this
FamilyHistory.com is a good way to "meet", it
does not facilitate a good exchange which is
better done direct via exchange of emails. And
yes,I'll be happy to send you a GEDCOM with
info from my database. You probably don't want
my entire database which is now at 26,000+
persons of Kindel, Kindle, Kendall, Kindall
from anytime anywhere I have been collecting
and which I use to volunteer lookups for other
researching the name. Sometimes I can help,
sometimes not, by finding a connection to
others' research I've compiled and advising on
the sources I've consulted. When I receive your
msg and Kindall info I'll search my database
send you a reply with any connection or likely
connection I find to others' research including
a GEDCOM on the others' info I "hit" in the
search. Good luck and adios from Fred in
Folsom CA

Phillip Kindall

Hi Catherine,
My father's side has a line of Kindalls that lived in Jonesboro and Harrison, Arkansas. I do not have a Philip Kindall in my database, however, they usually went by their middle names in that area for some reason. It makes research difficult at times. I would be glad to share what I have if you are interested. The last Kindall in my line was my Grandmother Elva Irene and she was born in 1890. If your grandfather is considerably younger than my grandmother, it is entirely possible that he would not be in my database. If you use a genealogy computer program, could send a gedcom file of what I have. Hope you find your lineage.
Randy Jones
