My line includes Dabney England of Goochland Co., VA. I have his marriage certificate to Nancy Kindred dated 1799.
However, Rootsweb, familysearch, etc. have "Kindreck."

Goochland is next to Albemarle; both the Englands and the Thomas Kindred family moved to Roane (Monroe)TN. Does anyone have a clue about my Nancy? I know Thomas married Nancy Sharp. Was this their daughter?
Janie

I have an uncle by that same name. By any chance were you married to him? I have not seen him in many years but know he is alive. For any other kindreds out there. My grandparents were coleman and grace kindred. My mom was betty kindred. My daughter and i have got the ancestry bug over the past year. It sure is addicting. I was a happy just tracing back to william kindred so we could join the DAR, cause it sure is overwhelming when you are tracing more than one family and they all seem to be from kentucky virginia or tennesee.

Mary 2/28/12

My grandmother is Willie. Her mother is Dollie. Willie passed away in Oregon in 1993 or 94. She had several strokes. We all called Dollie 'Ma' & Edward was 'Dad'. Willie's daughter, Linda, is my mom. :)
The family lore has Dollie's first husband, Kindred, as having a girlfriend. Dollie at the time had kids & was living in TN. She met the girlfriend at the train station, beat her up & was asked to leave town. So she took her kids, met Edward, married him & raised their family in Oregon. Edward was an Indian and worked on the railroad. Hope this helps - I don't know much either.
I think your 'unknown' Kindred was my grandmother's father.
Who is your grandfather & where do you live?
BJ
I've traced back to my roots Stephen Kindred 1510-1561 Carlton. Edmund Henry Kindred took his family from Framlingham, Suffolk to Springville, Utah in 1850's, he is my 3rd great grandfather's (Alfred) brother. I am extremely interested in contacting anyone who has Kindred connections from Suffolk and also Utah. I have lots of documents and photographs on my tree and happy to share. I now live in Florida, but visit England every year and made my pilgrimage to Framlingham September 2010.

Kindreds From Richmond, Ky

Looking for info on a Dora Kindred, born 1878, who married Elza Foster, born 186l.. Dora's parents were Thomas Kindred and Serelda Rose Kindred. Elza and Dora Foster were raising a young girl by the name of Margaret Louise Foster, born 1-5-1924. Jasper and Rose Foster were the parents of Margaret but they didn't want her any more, so Jasper apparently took Margaret to Ky. to stay with Dora and Elza Foster. Does anyone know about this? Are there any relatives of the Kindred's still alive that may know about the story of Margaret? I would like to know when Margaret left the Ky. area.. maybe at age 18.. but where did she go? It is known that she used the name Margaret Louise Kindred, Margaret Louise Foster, Margaret Milstead . I know she gave birth to a son in Dec. 1951 in the Colorado area, and the father of this child was apparently a Roy A. Eastin. She was not married to Roy Eastin. I am hoping someone knows of the Kindreds from the Richmond, Ky. area and of Margaret Louise. Please email me at queeny1319@aol.com. Margaret is the older sister of my mother, who was born Bonnie Jean Foster on May 9, 1925. There is a younger sister Bernice June Foster, born 9-27-1926, but her whereabouts have not been known since around April 1927. Thank You

Tina, I just saw your posting of 2003 and eventhough it is many years later, if you still need info on John Hendren Kindred let me know. Your grandfather, Kenneth was my father's brother and I have the info you may want. Ask your great aunts, Sandy & Jeanette about me. Some of the info in postings to your message is incorrect.

Buford Kindred

Kindred family photo? March 1940, Scott County, Missouri

Hello,

I'm in possession of a large family photo which I believe was taken in March 1940 in Scott County, Missouri of a Kindred family. There are 47 people in the photo, and I have identified about 12 people, based on my own knowledge and the knowledge of older living family members. (I am descended from Cora Kindred Wallace Luker, 1875-1961.)

I am fairly certain of all the information I've gathered so far, but there are still 35 faces which I can't identify.

If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear it.

The full high-res photo is here: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4045/4175292816_c5f2dd472e_o....
The photo with my idenfitications is here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2700/4177423110_6a8a4041a8_o....

Jeff, Polly was born in 1790 in Albermarle Co., VA She married David Richardson on Sept. 21, 1807 in Jessamine Co., KY. Since she is not in my husband's direct line I do not have any information on their children. Her parents, Bartholomew Kindred and Milly Lively were married on Dec. 29, 1780 in Albermarle Co., VA and had 12 children all total. Milly died about 1814 and Bartholomew remarried Hester Blake. All of his children were by Milly except 1 that he had with Hester. If you would like to email me directly my address is sdortch72@comcast.net
I am a granddaughter of Robert Kindred. My mother, now deceased, was Emma Ruth Cromer. Robert's wife's name was Ella. Other childred of Robert & Ella are Lorene, Bonnie, Donna, Edith Putman(deceased), Etta Mae. David and Peggy came to Boaz, Alabama to visit us one summer. I was 5 or 6 years old. I think they were in high school. I have been to the cemetary in Scottsboro. Ella was buried there at age 42. Emma Ruth my mother died at age 37 of canser (as it is believed that was the cause of death for Ella). The story my mother & her sisters told me was that the Berry Family had police posted around the area of the cemetary and Robert Kindred was not allowed to enter the area. I have been told Robert's mother was a native american and this was "one" element of disapproval the Berry family had for Robert. Kathy

My maiden name is Kindred and my Dad had a half brother named Harold Kindred who was born in Terre Haute, IN. The date of your grandfather's birth coincides with what Dad believes to be his age. This Harold's father's name was Charles Kindred who divorced Harold's mother when he was very small. Harold and his mother then moved from Terre Haute to we think Washington, IN. Don't know if this helps.

Robert Kindred, Alabama, born 12 nov 1904

I am the granddaughter of Robert A. Kindred and Edna Berry of Scottsboro, Al. Robert was born in 1904 and died in 1977 and is buried at Prince Cemetery near Scottsboro, Al. Edna Berry Kindred is buried with her family in a cemetery in downtown Scottsboro. They had approximately 12-14 children. After her death, I understand that Robert remarried, or at least had other children by another women. When he died, the Berry family would not let him be buried with Edna, so he was buried at Prince Cemetery, where he lies with several of their children, including William "Crazy Bill" Kindred. I know a lot about the berrys as they were the former owners of the land that the entire town of Scottsboro is sitting on, however, I know very little of Robert A. I know his mother and father are buried near Scottsboro, and his mother's first name is "Melissa" or something close to that, but slightly different spelling. Robert and Edna had a son named Earl David Kindred, which is my father. I know of several children of this marriage to include, Lucille, Peggy, Larry Glen, William (Bill), and others. Anyone having any informatin on Robert, please contact me.
