Also Number 55
Thomas KINGHORN died 28/4/1804 62 yrs Wife janet CARSe died 30/6/1822 92 yrs. Son Thomas died London buried in Bow Street Church Londen Slater 8/5/1835 65 yrs.

We are looking for information on Wesley KINGHORN believed to have lived in Spokane, Washington. Wesley likely also lived in Ohio in the Columbus area. Mary Elizabeth Burnbrier was born 23 Feb 1877 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. They were in Spokane, Washington November of 1925 according to the obituary of Louisa Schneider Burnbrier (mother of Elizabeth).

Hope this helps with linking Adam (b. 1932)to this Kinghorn line.

Adam KINGHORN (b.Abt 1785) is also one of my ancestors but he had several children round about 1814 and only one to his wife.See below (Info from the Kirk session records)

Trying to connect my South Africa Kinghorns to their descendants in Scotland.

This much I've been able to verify:
William "Billy" Kinghorn (b:1887, Scotland; d:1930, South Africa) son of William Bissett Kinghorn (b:1861, Scotland) and Elizabeth Chalmers (b:1869, Scotland).

Now I think the following is correct, but I can't find a definitive connection:
William Bissett Kinghorn is the son of Adam Kinghorn (b:1832, Scotland) and Elisabeth Morrice. I think this Adam Kinghorn is the son of Adam Kinghorn (b:1785) and Jean Cocker.

Can anyone confirm that these connections are correct? Thanks!

Hi I'm Calvin J. Kinghorn and I live at the Lewisville Rigby area. My father is Franklin G. my grandfather is James Franklin and my great grandpa is James and my G.G.grand father is Alexander Patric and my G.G.G. grandfather is George Kinghorn. My brother lives in the house that Alexander Patric built in 1896 after having first lived in a log cabin upon arriving at this area. I live exactly across the road from the Joseph Kinghorn farm and I well remember Joseph junior he was my grandfathers 1st cousin. My farm was homesteaded by the Cuthberts who traveled with the Kinghorns in 1884 when locating to here from Utah. I thank Alexander every day for coming to Idaho, I wouldn't have made a very good Utahan, to many people. My family still owns 200 acres of the original 640 acres homesteaded by the original family. I checked Scotland's people , and there were no Edward Kinghorns born in Scotland in 1871. Edward is a very unusual name in Kinghorn families, there were only 5 in the birth records. One in Aberdeenshire in 1866, Two in Lanarkshire in 1873,and 1875
I'll see if I can find out more

Hi!

I've been trying to track down information on the Kinghorn line. My grandmother was Sheila Agnes Kinghorn, born 11/1/22 in Durban, South Africa. Her mother was Gwladys (not a typo) Gregg from New London, South Africa and her father was William Kinghorn of Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm not sure when her father was born (probably around 1890-1900) but I know he died in South Africa when my grandmother was 7, around 1929. William's parents were William and Elizabeth Kinghorn (not sure of Elizabeth's maiden name) of Aberdeen, Scotland. The only other information I have is that William and Gwladys had a son named Theo (my grandmother's brother) who died in Italy during World World 2. We think he married before he went to serve in the war, but we don't have any information on who she is.

Does any of this match someone else's tree? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do you have any connection to David Kinghorn b: abt 1790 in Inverkeithing? His parents were John Kinghorn and Euphemia Iapp. I cannot find a birth registered to these parents. He married Elizabeth Cameron in 1812 and then Henrietta Knox in 1844. David Kinghorn died 1877 at Dunfermline.

Researching my ancestors Miles and Catharine DALTON. Their son Edward (my Gt Gt G/father) and their daughter Alicia were boarded at the Royal Military Asylum, Chelsea around 1818. Keen to find out more about Miles & Catharine.

Edward married and had children, Alicia married Thomas KINGHORN and had children but both died at a young age.

David Kinghorn and Anne Pow were married in Tranent, East Lothian, 19 Dec 1830.
David Kinghorn and Anna (POW) are on the 1857 US State Census in Eagle Creek, Scott, Minnesota. Children: George,age 23, b: NY, carpenter; John, b: NY, farmer; William, b: Ill, Farmer; Robert b: Ill; Jennet A, b: NY.
In June 1860 in Rederone? Twp, Brown, MN.
In Jun 1865 in Eagle Creek, Scott, Minnesota
In July 1870 supposed to be in Shakopee, Scott but I couldn't find them on page 2.
In 1875 US State Census in Minnesota Terr. family all has initials.
In 1880 they are in Eale Creek, Scott, Minnesota.
On Rootsweb's World Connect Project, it shows jayem59 has children: Agnes, b: 1833, David, 1831, George 1835, Jenett, 1838, John, 1839, Robert 1847 and Thomas, 1848 and a William, 1848. I was interested in who the parents of David were but closest I came was an ancestry post by John Ryther that said parents were George William Kinghorn and Jane Elaine Unknown. Spring: This is our Kinghorn family line. William Blackwood Kinghorn was born 19 Jan 1820, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. He married Janet Young, 16 Jan 1843 in Abbotshall, Kirkcaldy, Fife and died 27 Jan 1895 on Lorne St, Ladybank, Fife, Scotland. I have much more information if you are interested. Are you connected to Ann Timlin? I have been trying to reach her.

Looking for info on Thomas KINGHORN and Alicia DALTON who were married at St Marylebone in 1831. They named their son Wybrants KINGHORN, which ties in with my Gt g/father's name of William Wybrants DALTON. William's father Edward DALTON was the possible brother of Alicia. As Edward died in 1831 there is no census info for him. I have all DALTON info after Edwards death.

I'm afraid not, as the only info I have is from the will of James KINGHORN's sister in Edinburgh in the mid 1940s. She left the residue of her estate to her nephew, William Mitchell KINGHORN, Mining Engineer, Rose Deep, Germiston, Johannesburg, or "whom failing to his issue", so I suppose he had at least one.

The person who contacted me was Kevin Kinghorn and is looking for ancestors of his Grandfather, William Edward Kinghorn, Born 19 Dec 1926. WE had a brother Charlie and two sister Dorothy and Agnus. They have some connection to Jansenville. Maybe you can help. Does this info ring any bells??

Yes, thank you, I do have this. I actually photographed it myself when I was about 16. Dad took us out to Ormiston & showed us the family stone. My guess is that it was John who had it erected, as he is the only one with any actual details.
