My grandmother on my father's side was born Arlene J. Kingsley to a Marie Harth and an unknown Kingsley. I apologize for the vagueness there, but he was a railroad worker and had died when my grandmother was young. The family had lived in Bronx for several generations, according to my father. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Yes your Grandfather had sister Georgia Kingsley. They lived in Filmore Minnesota. Georiga Kingsley is my grandmother. She had one son named Richard S. Kingsley who was my father. He moved to Canada in 1941-42 to join the Cdn. army and married my mother. After the war they returned to the states but my mother did not like it and moved to Simcoe, Ontario Canada across the lake from Rochester NY. I have been trying to find info about the family as well. I know George did not have a long life and am trying to find info on that. Ellen I know lived with Lovern when she died at around 88 in 1936. Ellen was married before to a Elias S. Davis and had 2 sons Merton and Edward. It looks like they divorced(no Proof) but she married George after. Do you know anything about George and his line. Ellen was a Shutter by birth.Father is John Shutter NY born 1813 and mother Rachel Tabour -can find no info as yet on census says she was born in England. Would love to find out if any info on the Kingsley side.
Wchambers20

I know this has been awhile since these postings, I have found a WWI draft registration from Muskegon Mich. for Edward, wife was Mary this was in 1917-1919. My Grandfather Edward was born Mar 27, 1885 and died Mar 17, 1949. He was a paraplegic and died from pnuemonia related to this injury. He died and Detroit General Hospital in Detroit Mi. He married my grandmother Victoria in 1921 just before my father was born. My father told me that his affair with Victoria is what cause his divorce from Mary. My father Robert Edwin Kingsley died in 1999.

I have a James Kinsley in my family. He was born in Omagh, County Tyrone in 1817 (he is on 1841 England census). He moved to Newcastle in England with his wife Mary McDonald. Probably not related, and maybe??? I have not been able to find any other Kinsley family in Tyrone, and the records are of course, very incomplete. There is a gradual trickle of Irish records coming on-line so we may get lucky. Do you have any idea where in Ireland your James was from.
Regards Barry

This would be my maternal great grandfather. Trying to solidify what I've found, having issues with Kingsleys all over MO, IA, MN...

My grandmother was Martha KINGSLEY, father James Robert KINGSLEY, mother Susan M HAMMACHER (that's another thorn of a line).

I THINK James R is the son of another James, born in Ireland around 1826. Anyone have a clear picture of how this all lays out?

I live in Bainbridge, and was born in South Russell. I have very deep AND wide roots in Auburn, Bainbridge, Solon, Chagrin Falls, Aurora, Braceville/Newton Falls.

I'd be interested in more information on my direct line here, as well as in Auburn/Bainbridge in general. I live in the old Davidson house (built 1910, though the county believes it was built in 1900).

Hello!
My name is Ross Howell, my grandmother Pearl Alice Kingsley was born in Oklahoma in 1878 and died in 1979. Her father was Alpha Kingsley and I believe his name was really Alfred Kingsley, in about 1975 I read his will for my grandmother it was written in 1881 and I believe it was signed Alfred Kingsley. Alpha was the first doctor in Indian Territory and I think they were somwhere around Pittsburg Oklahoma when Pearl was born. What I would like to find is the names of his parents and the names of all of his children. I only know the names of three of his children at this time Edward Alfred, Pearl Alice and George. George was born in Arkansas in 1882. He had a step son named Alfred Waters that I believe was really his son but he was not married to Mary Waters at the time of his birth. I also think he had a daughter named Caroline that was born in about 1864.

I know it's a long time since you posted this, but I am just starting on this path. Hope you are still there. I think your Kuhnle family might be the ones I am looking for. John (possibly Jakob) born London circa 1893 came to Australia early 1900s. He is my grandfather and was a baker. Family knows nothing except his parents moved from Germany to England mid to late 1800s and he was one of many children living in London.
John William Kingsley Family--London

I would like to make contact with anyone who has knowledge of the John William Kingsley family. He was listed as a fishmonger in the 1911 England Census, when the family was living at 22 Victoria Street, Hackney. His wife was Beatrice (Chane) Kingsley. Their daughter, Ida Marie Kingsley, was born in November 1906 in Canning Town, West Ham, and died in Chelsea, London in February 1948, with occupation noted as Secretary. A son was J. Kingsley (possibly William John Kingsley), born in about 1908.

I am researching the family history of an elderly friend who would very much like to know more about the family, especially the daughter Ida Marie Kingsley.

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of “Esther Kingsley – Denver, Colo.”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Ottawa (Franklin Co.) Kansas, and she looks to be about 18-20.

I found the family of Esther Kingsley in the 1910 census for Cheyenne Co., showing she was 39, born KS, married to Clovis W. Kingsley. They had five children. SSDI shows that Esther B. Kingsley was born 22 Jun 1870 and died 15 Oct 1966 in Denver, CO.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Esther Kingsley.

I believe he was in Philadelphia to attend US Supreme Court where a case involving him (Jenkins vs Kingsley) was being discussed.
POW/MIA Korean War, KINGSLEY

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave Jefferson County, AL as his home of record. His remains were never recovered. Our government has no family contact at this time for this soldier

Soldier: WILLIE LONIE KINGSLEY
Born: 1909
Date of loss: 20 July 1950 POW

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (79years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Harold Davis
40th Infantry Division
Korea ’52-‘53
910-791-2333
hgdavis@bellsouth.net
Henry Horton Kingsley from Milton, Saratoga, New York

I am looking for info on Henry Horton Kingsley. He was born 1829 in Milton, NY according to 1860 census that says Milton, NY. He was married to Anna M. Sharp b. 1832 from Albany, NY.

In 1853 they had a child, Emily, born in Glenville, Schenectady County, NY.
Then in 1856, a child, Irene, born in Florida, Montgomery County, NY and another child in 1858, Tennettie, born in Florida.

I found him in a 1850 census as a laborer in Glenville with Henry C. Pettingell's family. Ironically enough, his wife's name was Tennettie (if I am reading the cursive right in the census)

Does anybody have familiarity with the Kingsley family in and around Milton, Saratoga County, NY?

Re: Stephen Kingsley a/k/a Stephen Kizinski

I'm afraid not. Our family lived in England. I came to the States in December 1958. My father passed away in England in 1976 and he never mentioned a Charles Kizinski. The family originates from Warsaw, Poland. Perhaps there is another branch. He had many cousins I believe. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Good luck.

Irene Ilnisky
