On December 25, 1827, Thomas Kingston, son of William Kingston and Mary Brennan was baptized in the RC parish of
Drimoleague. Sponsors were George Kingston and Norry Brennan. The family was living in Deelish. Is there anyone researching this family?

My husband has a Thomas who was born ca 1840 and to the USA ca 1860. He married a Hanora Cronin in the US. When I was in Ireland I talked with a professional genealogist who told me not to count on dates as they could vary many years each way. MW

I was wondering if you knew who Thomas's parents were - either from a marriage record or a death record. You are right about dates, but I have Baptismal dates for many of my Kingstons. That information helps as most Catholics baptized their babies about a day after birth. Once civil registration began in 1864, there was a fine if births were not reported within a certain number of days. If farmers were not able to get to the registration place in the allotted time, they pushed the date of the birth up, so very often you will find a child baptized before he was born!!!!! Jan
