I am looking for any information about John
Kingston of Baltonsborough,
Yeoman, who was the major beneficiary, and executor, of the will of a William
Cowper (d. 1797) of
Huxham, in East Pennard,
Gentleman. I would also like information about the latter. His will left several groups of properties in East Pennard and Lottisham to various people - many being Kingstons and
Cowpers. I suspect they were all relatives. My own connection is that my ancestor William
Cooper (different spelling, same name) of East Pennard,
Yeoman, (approx 1780-1823) was another beneficiary. I know about his later history, (he was a maltster) and marriage but not about his ancestry.
I intend to look at parish records and land tax assessment records but don't have time to do so at present.
