Sally N. Kinnetz, 83, a 25-year resident of Berkley and formerly of Highland Park, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in St. Paul, Minn.
Mrs. Kinnetz taught fourth- and fifth-grades in Hazel Park School District, including more than 30 years at Hoover Elementary School. She graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1950 with a bachelor's degree. She was a lifetime member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. She served her country proudly as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. She enjoyed traveling, reading extensively, crossword puzzles, scrapbooks, and gardening.
Surviving are a son, Craig Kinnetz of Dearborn Heights; brother, Richard A. (Eugenia) Noth of Redford; nieces and nephews, Michael E. (Mary Ellen) Noth of Austin, Texas, Kathleen M. Noth of Little River, S.C., and Christopher J. (Peggy) Noth of Grand Blanc; four grand nephews and one grand niece.
