Hi ARnie ... well lo and behold the Kirkham Reunion is still ongoing every year in Perth on the 2nd sunday of September at the Lions Hall in Perth. This years reunion had a great attendance of around 50 people and many of them brand new. Bill Kirkham of Perth is the person in charge of the family trees. Copies are available of any of the trees at a cost of 20$ each. He can be reached at 613-267-2520.
not quite sure of the book you are referring to. Hope this helps. Gerard Kirkham, President

I forgot this. On 12 Sept 1827, he rrived in New York from "Cremocks." When I looked up Cremocks n a map, that was on Lake Superior on the US/Canada Border. Also, the nae was Warson.

There are two different arrivals in Philadelphia. One just says 1833. The other one says 26 August 1842.

Somewhere, and I can't remmber where, I read that he was in his 50's in the 1850's. So your Watson seems young . . unless he has lied about his age for some reson when he arrived in the US.

From what it looks like, he traveled here twice, both timews alone. Once in 1831 and again in 1844.

Is Watson a name that appears in Scotland often? I notced that when I Google Watson Kirkham I get a Watson Kirkham Drysdale who was a farmer.

I am dending for his marriage and death certificates and am hoping that they tell me more.

Thank you for the information . . . I shall keep copy and keep it so I can compare it to any in I get from Indiana records on him.

Paula

Hi - I've just started researching the Kirkham's from my husbands family history. His gt. gt. grandmother was Elizabeth Maud (sometimes the other way round) Kirkham. Her brother was Stafford Kirkham and they were born in Whittlesey, Cambridge. Their parents were Mary and Thomas Bennet Kirkham. Thomas was born in Rochester Kent c. 1838 and seems to be one of many children born to James and Elizabeth Kirkham (Clarence, Elizabeth, Amelia, Hannah Edward Emma and Alfred - the late two being born in Gt. Yarmouth). James was born c. 1792 in Norwich. After James seem to come a number of Ralph Kirkhams from Norwich and Lincoln. I've found the name spelt in various forms from Kurkham to Kirtcham.

Would love to hear from anyone with any further information or connections to this side of the Kirkham family.

Thanks
Trudie Davidson

Hello I'm related to the 3 William Kirkam's (1816, 1851 and 1890)of Arley, and I have noticed in to 1901 Census a Granddaughter called Alice Nield Kirkham (interesting middle name don't you think), who is listed as living with William and Esther(my great grandparents). Anyway take a look at the Census, she was born in 1900, I have no idea of her Mum or Dad's name but if I were you I would pay for a birth certificate to see if you can find out more.

Les, who was your Mum and Dad? I'd like to be able to fit you in my tree, if this is ok.
Good Luck Chris, please let us know how you get on
Jayne

Hi Heather

I am helping my mother-in-law with searching for her grandmother's family. Her great grandparents were Thomas Curtis and Eleanor Kirkham. She is a descendant of their daughter, Mabel Curtis, who married George Sinclair. We have found some information on the Ancestry website. We are trying to find out more about George Sinclair as all we know is that he was from Scotland. Have had no luck in finding out when Mabel married him, or when he died. If you have any info that could help us, it would be greatly appreciated!

Debbie & Madeleine
