Albert (Al) Kisseloff, 70, Searsport, ME, Newport, ME and Albuquerque, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away June 2, 2003 at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, ME with family and friends by his side. He was born in the South Bronx section of New York City, October 8, 1932. A first generation American, Al was the son of David and Lena Kisseloff of Jarmolinitz, Russia (Ukraine) and Tarnopol, Poland, respectively. He graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with a degree in psychology in 1954 and attended graduate school at Columbia University. Al was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War Period. He lived most of his life between Queens Village, NY and Newport, ME, retiring as a principal in the New York City public school system in 1989. Al was predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Marguerite in 2002 whom he married on April 18, 1953. He is survived by two children, Ruth Kisseloff of Newport, ME and Paul Kisseloff and his loving wife, Norma of Albuquerque and Barbara Howard of Old Town whom he considered a daughter; three grandchildren, Lanisha Landraw of Norfolk, VA, Gerard Pagan of Virginia Beach, VA and Angela Howard of New Haven, CT; and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Selma Kisseloff of N. Lauderdale, FL and Edith Kent of Boynton Beach, FL. Al was also predeceased by his two brothers, Julius and Norman; and his sister, Dorothy. Al will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Services will be announced at a future date.

Mrs. Marguerite Ann Mair-Kisseloff, 72, a resident of Albuquerque for 11 years died on February 24, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Albert Kisseloff of the family home; one son, Paul M. Kisseloff and wife, Norma of Virginia Beach; one daughter, Ruth Ann Kisseloff of Newport Maine; a granddaughter, Lanisha Landraw; she is also survived by numerous cousins. Marguerite Ann was a graduate from Barnard College of New York City. She taught art for many years to seniors and children and participated in many art shows throughout New Mexico. She attended The Art Student League in New York on a scholarship and also attended the school for Visual Arts and the Arts Workshop of the new school of Research. She was president of the Long Island Black Artists and on the Board of Visitors at the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Marguerite Ann was a member of African American Artist Guild in Albuquerque and a former member of The Rainbow Artist Coop. She sang with the 7th Army Symphony in New York and sang professionally as a folk singer as well as a classical singer. She will be missed by many people and will be remembered with love and affection. Her presence will be felt and reflected also in her paintings. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana NE, with Rabbi Joseph Black, officiating.
