Kite Family Research - Assistance Needed

I am in the porcess of compiling a lineage of both ancestors and descendants of John Windle Kite/Windlekite. At this point I have almost 2,000 names and over 1500 footnotes of documentation. But I am in need of any assistance anyone can provide me for input into this project as I am attempting to make it the definitive history of the Kite family relating to John Windle Kite/Windlekite. Any family data, histories from counties, obituaries, diary entries, family recollections, etc. you might wish to contribute to this project will be most appreciated. Any contributions will be given their full and accurate identification as that is the matter by which I am doing this project. Descendants of John Windle Kite/Windlekite cover many states, primarily, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Georgia and Pennsylvania. My intent is to get this ready for a publication date of early 2003, but this is dependent on how fast I can put together information. I started this in February of this year, so I have made quite a bit of progress. At this point I am not planning on putting pictures in this genealogical history.

Hi Tim,

I am working with Shirley Brethower, and made many inquiries to my father (whom I don't know well).

Today I got a wealth of documents from him by attachment. I'd be happy to share them with you.

Some are pictures from a Tenn Cemetery, some are lists of relatives made long ago by my father's great aunt and added to over the years. John Wendleheit is on the list.

I would LOVE to fill in the fourth 'great' names, which are missing. Let me know if you can help me, and if this helps you.

I can send you all the attachements if you want them. Some of the info is in the message I posted today "hit the jackpot".

Shirley tells me you and I might be related through Benjamin Kite? He is a brother of my line, but I don't know the name of my g/ggggg grandfather, who would have been his brother I guess.....do you ever get confused?! :)

I'm looking for information on Henry C Kite, born abt 1845 in FL (possibly) or GA (most likely). His parents were both born in GA; mother's first initial E. Married Jane E (surname unknown; most likely born in GA but possibly FL or SC) and had 5 children in FL: Albert A, abt 1870; Clifford (female), abt 1873; Erie Olivia, 26 May 1879; Alice Gertrude, 02 May 1880; and M (female), abt 1882. Henry was a farmer and lived in Suwannee Springs, FL, in 1880 and 1885. Daughter Erie (beautician) married Reuben McCullough (locomotive engineer) of GA and settled in Ware, GA. Both are buried in Oakland Cemetery, Waycross, Ware, GA. Daughter Alice worked for the railroad and married George Washington Crafft (railroad man) and Joseph Neiderheiser (builder). She and Crafft had 2 daughters in FL: Gertrude Olivia, 21 Aug 1901, and Mildred E, 03 Feb 1904. Any help is appreciated; I'm happy to share any information I have that might be helpful to you.
