My half brother Gary Richard Buckerfield's father's name was Frank.He married Beatrice Louise Moore. They had a son Gary in 1935. He is now deceased,how ever he has children,and they have a Tree on Ancestry.They lived in the Detroit area. Maybe that tree and his daughter can help you.

Hi. My grandfather was William Knitter. I know his mother's name was Anna Knuth and both his parents were born in Germany. I also know my grandfather was born around 1898 and died in 1992. I grew up in the Rochester area and I believe my grandfather's family was from there. My grandfather was the oldest of something like 12 siblings. Anyone else out there related to this family?

Hi. My grandfather was William Knitter and I think he may have been Robert's brother. I grew up in the Rochester area and I believe my grandfather's family was from there. When I was a bit younger I remember finding my grandfather's birth certificate, and I know his mother's name was Anna Knuth. I also know my grandfather was the oldest of something like 12 siblings. My grandfather was born in 1898 I believe and died in 1992. I only ever one of his brothers and his name was Eddie. Don't know if he's still alive but I think he was one of the younger ones. I also met his brother Ray's wife, Anne, and I believe she is still alive, and if so, is living in Rochester. Let me know if this helps, and/or you'd like more info.

Charlotte L. Clark's first husband, Elmer Theo Knitter, was the son of William Knitter and Louisa Gimbel. Louisa was the oldest sister of my great-grandmother's 3rd husband, Jack Gimbel. Elmer, Sr. and his 2nd wife Adele were good friends of my grandparents in Parma, OH. Alex Knitter - Jul 02, 1911 - Sep 09, 1994, married Genevieve C Bigalke - Jul 05, 1912 - Mar 13, 1998.
I show them both dying in Portage co., WI, & Genevieve was born in WI, but I don't know where Alex was born or where they were married, Also where their son Alex was born in 1940.
I'm unable to find Alex senior, his parents, etc., in any of the census records. I would like to locate ancestors.

I am looking for information on Amanda Knitter. She was born 25 feb 1901 in Green, Kansas. She married Floyd Thronton Bushell 10 nov 1920 in manhatten, Riley, Kansas. She died 19 Oct 1992 in Clay Center, Kansas. She is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Any information on preceeding generations would be wonderful. Thanks.

Hi, My pop's father's name was August. August married Jozefa and had 8-9 children. 1 being Waclaw, my pop and another Alfonse 1 of his brothers. My pop migrated to Australia in about 1949.Hope this helps. If not you may be able to help me.

Hi, My name is Louise Knitter and I am from Australia. My grandfather Waclaw (Wally) is Polish but migrated to Germany where my Aunty and uncle were born. I don't know a lot about my family history but my pop was a prisoner of war in Germany so they migrated to Western Australia, where my dad Weswaf (Wes) was the first born here. I would love to know more!

Edward Knitter - Alpena, Mich.

My wife's grandfather had a sister, Daisy Kline, born in Stroudsburg, Pa., who married a Edward Knitter and moved to Alpena ,Mich.,about 1936 . She died in 1976, buried in Evergreen Cem., Alpena,Mich.
We are looking for an obituary for Edward, he died in 1946..

Elmer Knitter Connections?

I have an Elmer Knitter b. 1901 [location unknown] and died in California, 1965.

He had a son named Elmer Knitter, b. 1924 in Ohio, died 1980 in California.

Charlotte Clark, wife of the elder Elmer and mother of the younger Elmer Knitter is in my line. There was evidently a divorce, Charlotte died young and I am curious as to descendancy, etc.

There were many children from Michael and Augusta the names I know are Karl, Charles, Henry, Tillie, William, Julius, Reinhold. I know there were more but I haven't been able to find them yet.

The following is a brief summary of what I have found to date:
August Julius Knitter immigrated to this country in 1881 from West Prussia, Germany. August married Lisette Auguste Utke b. Dec 1848 in West Prussia. She had a total of 12 children, of which 7 were surviving in 1900. To the best of my knowledge they were:

Emma Ida christened on 29 Oct 1871 in Konitz, West Prussia.
Albert George born 24 May 1876 in West Prussia.
August J. born 4 Dec 1878 in West Prussia.
Otto born 26 Sep 1883 in Indiana.
Charles Clarence born 24 Feb 1885 in Indiana.
Clara born Jul 1887 in Indiana.
Marie born 26 Mar 1889 in Indiana.
