Christ Knoll and Mary Schultz of IL and SD

I am descended from Christ Knoll and Mary Shultz, both from Wurtemmberg Germany. My great grandmother was born on the boat as they immigrated. Initially they settled in Illinois, but most of them ended up in Groton, SD. I have a large amount of data on their progeny, thanks to a couple of family members that did extensive research on a related line and networked with everyone living at the time to fill in the blanks.

If anyone needs information on that family I can provided it. And of course, if anyone happens to have information on Christ and Mary's parents, I would be joyous to gain that information.

Christ was born about 1857 and Mary about 1868.

Adam Knoll, son of possible Johann Knoll, b 1905 in Germany

I'm looking for records on Adam Knoll. He was born in 1905 in Germany, Hesse. I've been told his father was Johann. He had two sistes, Gradle and Leithel and one brother, Johann, who all stayed in Germany. Johann served in WWII on Germany's side, fighter pilot, killed in action in plane crash in Siberia. Gradle and Leithel stayed in Germany. I'm trying to verify parents, obtain names, dates, etc. to trace back lineage. Any information would be apprecited. Adam came to US when he was 17, settled in McKeesport, PA, had two sons, Johan Adam and Robert C. Knoll. My tree is under Jennifer Lynn knoll

Emilian Knoll/Konell/Knoell of Rokitnitz, Bohemia

Emilian Hazel KONELL/KNOELL was born Nov. 1855 in Rokitnitz (Rokitnice of the Eagle Mountains), Bohemia/Czechoslovakia of German parentage and had Austrian citizenship, and , after he married, they lived in Mladkov, 10 miles east of Kunvald, and 12.5 miles from Rokitnice. I know the surname was spelled KNOLL with an umlaug over the O at one time. Emilian was persuaded to leave and come to America by Pius CHRISTEN, married to a POHL. Emilian's parents were Emilian Konell/Knoell and Josephine Pohl. Christen had been here since 1886. Emilian left for the U.S. from Rokitnitz with one child, Mae. They arrived in America in New York on the SS Elbe on April 15, 1892. He was 37 years old. He and Mae went to Grundy Center, Iowa to his sister's house to await Marie. How I would love to know his sister's full married name! Marie LANGER Knoell, his wife, brought the other 5 children on the S. S. Augusta Victoria arriving on Sept. 15, 1892. In 1893, after one year in IA, they moved to Pipestone, Minn (SW MN) and bought a farm at Lake Benton, Lincoln Cty, MN (19 miles north of Pipestone, Pipestone Cty, MN). Why they left MN is unknown. They then removed to Nebraska and having lost all their belongings in New York, they stayed with Marie's cousin, Mrs. Pius Christen, in New Helena, Custer Cty, NE beginning the fall of 1894 after a year in Minn.
I know he had a brother who remained in Bohemia until after WWII when all Germans were expelled from that area.
This family was Catholic. I would truly appreciate any information.

KNOLL brothers m. SCHUG sisters -- Huron Co. OH

I am looking for more details on Minnie and Maggie Schug and their families. Minnie Schug married Charles Knoll in 1879 and they had at least 7 children -- Adolph, Clara, Herman, Liddie, Carl, Esther, and Albert.

Maggie Schug married Edward Knoll in 1883 and I did find them listed in the 1900 census, living in Norwalk, Huron Co., OH. The page was very difficult to read and I'm not sure I have the names of their children correctly (those that I could just about make out). It looks like Amanda, Amelia, Freddie, Martha (maybe Lydia), and then 2 more sons. The birthdates range from 1884 to 1892 (could not read the date for the last son). Could anyone help me fill in the blanks?

I am related through Charles and Edward's younger sister, Louisa, who married Philip Poths.

Denise
