I was the original poster from this thread. I have found a lot of information since I posted my initial question. Elizabeth was not the father of Joseph and Victor V. She was their aunt. Their father was Valentine Kullman who was married to Annie Fulling. I think she must have died at some point because Valentine remmarried a woman by the name of Eliza Murfitt, but his children were raised by their grandparents and later by their aunts. Victor was my great grandfather (maternal grandmother's father), and I actually have his social security application, which names Valentine Kullman and Annie Fulling as his parents.

This information is incorrect in so many levels, I can't even begin to fix the mistakes. My apologies - please ignore any of my previous posts in this thread. The biggest mistake made was that Joseph & Kathryn (of my line) had a daughter named Elizabeth A. who married Rudolph Kuss - and I believe Betty may have been one of Elizabeth's children, not a sibling. I don't have anything to back this up yet, but as I said, my previous posts were so wrong.. please discard them. Thanks.

I have a certified death certificate for a Celia Kullman. She died 15 October 1903 at Gouverneur Hospital in the City of New York. Her parents were Harry and Yetta Kullman. Her parents were from Russian according to the death certificate. As Celia is NOT part of my family history I would love to snail mail her death record to anyone that has her in their family tree and is interested in receiving her death certificate.

Now it turns out that I am researching the very same line. You mentioned that "someone had two children named Joseph and Victor V." That someone was Valentine's daughter, Elizabeth, as seen on the 1900 record for Joseph E. Kullman in Evansville, IN. Joseph married my 2nd cousin 3x removed, Kathryn D. Oslage. I am trying to complete Joseph & Kathryn's line by way of their children, Elizabeth and Betty. All I know is Betty married a Rudolph G. Kuss. If you have any information that would help, it would be much appreciated.

Hi! I don't know if this will help you out or not, but it's worth a shot. I live in the Evansville area and the following link could be of some use to you. The Browning family site is wonderful.. most of it, however, is from the early 1900s to the present. I know you may be searching for an earlier time period, but maybe something will turn up. Good luck.

http://browning.evcpl.lib.in.us/

Jessica

Hi,

I am researching my Manske relatives and believe Phillip Mansky may be the son of my grandmother's "missing" brother, Carl. He was not listed in later obits.

My GM came to USA in 1892 and settled in Michigan near her other sisters.

Do you have info on your Mansky line?
Thanks, Virginia, for the reply. You must have been very young when your parents passed away. I'm glad you were able to stay in touch with your siblings.

As I mentioned, the last record we had of my GM's brother was in their sister's (Hattie Manske) obit in 1935. It stated a brother, Carl living in Oakland, CA as one of the survivors. So perhaps that was your GF. Did your father, Phillip, have a sister by the name of Martha?

My GM and her sisters died before I was born or when I was very young so I know very little about this family. My aunt used to say when she asked her mother about her life before they came to USA, her mother replied "You don't need to know". My father was her youngest child (Born in 1904) so by that time they were busy making a living and talked very little about "family history". I'd appreciate any info you care to share. You can e-mail me direct (melven03 at yahoo.com) ..just put Mansky Info in the subject line. Thanks again for your response.

Marge in Michigan
My sister Louella Deckman Morgan does have some records. Have you found any more information of the family?

I am very new at this on-line geneaology. I saw your message about Daniel Kullmann and thought I would reply. My mother's family is from Lincoln, Missouri also. We are descendants of Charles Kullman-he was one of three sons-Frederick and William. My mother called William, Uncle Billy. He was a drummer boy in the Civil War. My mother's father was Charles Frederick Kullman who married Louisa Wilhelmina Yost. They lived in Sedalia, Missouri. His father, Frederick Kullman came to the US about 1850 and docked in Baltimore. He traveled with his wife, Fredericka (or Fredericke) and the three boys to Lincoln, Cole Camp area. She died somewhere along the way and we have no information about her or her death. Frederick married Babette Hasfurther (sp) and his son, Frederick, married Babette's daughter also named Babette. This caused quite a bit of confusion for us when we first located information about them. Please send any information or questions that you have. Thank you very much

She said something about you having a cousin named rick who had extensive genealogy? I would like to get a hold of him and touch base with him and see what all he could do about filling in the blanks for me.. about my great grandparents Bernice kreisel and Julius Daniel Kullmann. I am the granddaughter of their daughter Fern. She married Joe Calfee in Cole Camp, Missouri
Anything would be greatly appreciated
thanks,
Heather Calfee
