LACK family of Newton Bromswold, Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire, 1700's

Looking for where William Lack might have moved from to arrive in Newton Bromswold in 1700s (prob between 1745 and 1770). He was the father of Thomas and Elizabeth Lack and died in Newton Bromswold in 1810. There was no record of his birth or marriage in Newton Bromswold but he would have been born in about 1745. Wondering if there is any history of families moving from somewhere else following work or something. Thomas his son was born in Newton Bromswold in 1770. From 1795 Thomas paid 6d pa to rent small holding including a field called "Lack's Close" and then after 1820 was the landlord of the local pub (The Sun, now called The Swan).

Origins of the Lack name

According to the book Rye's Norfolk Families, the name LACK is of Roman origin. He states that the three oldest
Norfolk names are Dack, Lack, Mack and Tuck, from the Roman Dacius, Lacius,Macius, and Tucius.
A large part of Norfolk, England was given to the Romans to settle in after the Iceni revolt, the land being taken from that tribe and they being dispersed as slaves.
I hope this is of interest.

Alma (Lack) Loyd 1915 LA

I'm looking for any information on my Great grandmother Alma Lack Loyd. She married Thomas Loyd. I know they lived in Hico, LA, Lincoln Parish. They had three children Virgil and Vergie (twins), and Minnie Vela (her twin died at birth). She had to have been born sometime in the late 1800's because my grandmother was her third child and was born in 1915. Would love to hear from anyone who might know something of her or her family.
