Looking for any information on a Bernard Lacy who was a traveling salesman selling magazines. He was in Eldora, Iowa around Dec. 1949. My grandmother is Faye Duncan and she is the reason I'm looking him up. He is the biological father of my father....just needing and wanting more information about him.
Thank you.
Lindsey

I tried clicking on your "public" family tree but it still took me to the page that I have to pay a membership fee to see it. I am not ready at this time to pay a fee to be a member. I found by typing in Raymond Ralph Carter into Ancestry I can see that he was born in Illinois and died in California. The letter Raymond Carter had sent to my Grandpa Ezra had come from California in 1953. I think it is a good chance this is the one.

My grandfather was Ezra Lacy(1895 to 1964 in OH). His father was George Frank Lacy(1862 to 1929 in OH). His father was George Lacy(1820 to 1892 in OH), brother to William Lacy(1824 to 1900 in IN). I am looking for information about one of William's daughters. Her name was Lavina and she married William Henry Carter. William Henry and Lavina had a son named Frank. Frank and his wife Sina were living in IL in 1910. They had a son named Raymond. I would like more information about this son. I think I have a letter he sent to my grandfather. If you can help me please let me know.

The Census document attached below is all that I have been able to find for this connection. My line in Philemon Lacy. Look how many Lacy's appear on this 1800 land tax census. Due to the poor record keeping of the time and family documents being destroyed, we may never know the truth. Rest assure that there are quite a number of us working on this and hopefully someone will step forward with the piece to the puzzle.

Only paying members can access other member's public family trees - sorry.

That being said, Raymond Ralph Carter was born on Aug. 23, 1909 in Crawford County, Illinois and died on Dec. 25, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. There is other information available on him, but you will need to join Ancestry.com to access it.

Best of luck on your search.

John Lacy born 1830 TN died MO?

Wondering if anyone has any information on John Lacy born about 1830 in TN. In the 1860 census he was living with his father Isaac Valentine Lacy in Randolph County, AR. I'm curious for a couple of reasons. 1) John was the brother of my 3G grandmother Lavina Lacy Segraves and 2) John was the first husband of my 3G grandmother Cyntha McDaniel Lacy Thompson. If he and Cyntha had not split up, my grandparents would have been distantly related.

Now it SEEMS someone told me John moved to MO, remarried and died there but it has been a ton of years ago. John and Cyntha had a son named William Lacy who went with the Thompson family to Woodruff County, AR in Nov. 1870 and died there about 1930. It has always intrigued me he kept his dad's surname.

Anyway, my point and purpose is to confirm John remarried and it was an actual divorce between he and Cyntha rather than a death. I'm getting serious about putting my family tree together and need sources. John is important because he is through both my Lacy/Segraves/McCandless/Weatherford/Haulcroft line and my McDaniel/Lacy/Thompson line. He is one of the rare people who get put in my tree twice and merged.

We are the Texas Credicotts and do have pictures, info, etc., Have hit a brick wall on them when they came over from Europe and where they all went after that. We have pictures of the four brothers but no info about their families up to now. Would love to know. Thanks.
I am seeing info on a Rosa Lacy who is said to have married Gill Lance, and they had a son Delbert William Lance who was supposedly born in Kanawha Co., WV. According to the one census I have found Delbert in, he and both his parents were all born in WV, however in this census, he is 18 and a boarder in a boarding house in Marion Co, WV. Have not found any proof that Gill and Rosa are his parents, and cannot find either of them in the census so far. Rumor has it that the Lance family was from Charleston, WV.

Hello Ratliff,
George Lacy (ca1782 - bet.1860-1870) was a brother to my ancestor, John Lacy. I have also been searching for their parents. However, I'm convinced that the mother's first name was Martha "Patsey". Do you know about John's and George's younger brother Pleasant? Thanks, Patrick

Elizabeth Lacy who married Levi (Jack) Voyles

Have been looking for any info on what happened to Elizabeth Lacy. She was married to Jack Voyles and had four children Thomas,Lizzie,Minnie and Alice. She can be found on the 1880 census with Jack and no children but by 1900 she is not listed and Jack is listed as a widower after being married 22 Yrs. They lived in and around Banks Co. Georgia. Alice her youngest was either boarded out or given to other family and is said to have lived a sad and
possibly abusive childhood. Any info on Elizabeth's final resting place would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Cathy
