My name is Esther Dunbar and my mother's name was Connie Armesto Coronado. I have been trying to find informtion on My Great Grandfather, Miguel Trevizo and Maria De Jesus Rascon.
I know you are looking for the Lagunas side but I think your relatives (on your mother's side) were Placido and Angelita Montano and their daughter was Vicky Trevizo who married Arturo Lagunas.
The Vicky/Arturo children are Patchi, Renee, Lulu, Gabby and Arturo. Am I right? We had a reunion around 1986 and Vicky T. Lagunas (Hayden, AZ) was present as was Arthur Lagunas (California Street,Imperial Beach, CA) was there.
Please let me know if this is correct and that you are a member of the Trevizo Family. If you could shed any light on Eduviges Trevizo or Treviso I would be deeply appreciative. She was the aunt of Vicky(Trevizo) Lagunas. My email address is estherdunbar@sbcglobal.net.

My husband's last name is Lagunas he is from Mexico. His dad's name was Ricardo Lagunas-Rodriquez. We think he was in his late seventies when he died. We know he had other children before meeting my mother-inlaw, but we are not sure how many. We heard some might be in Chicago or California.

there is a large population of Lagunas in La Piedad. There are some in Illinois and Indiana that have migrated there over the years. My grand mother( moms side) is Maria Carbajal Lagunas from La Piedad.

I don't know if you will get this or not but it is worth a try. I am sorry to say that I do not know who your father is but I live in a small town outside of where most of the Lagunas family lives here in Arizona. My tata's name was Arturo and he had brothers named Freddy and Louis. They used to live in Hayden, Arizona. You might try locating some of the families there to start. Good Luck!! Pam

Hi Pam, I don't know if I have written to you before. But anyway my name is Terri Lagunas. My fathers name is Ramon Lagunas. He was born in El Paso Tx. I don't know what his mothers name was. His brothers names were Hilario, Refugio, Luis and sisters were Josephine, Lupe, he had another sister but I don't know her name. Oh yea I went to the capital where they store all of the archieves and to my surprise the 1930 census listed a Lupe Lagunas that is one of my dads sister, which I never new about. I only met Josephine and Luis all the other brothers were deceased by the time I was born. I know that he had a sister that married and lived in Mexico, where I don't know, maybe Chihuahua. She married a "Reyes". I am also related to the Yanez, on his mothers side( that was her maiden name). Any way I have a sister named Frances, 2 brothers Antonio and George. We were all born in Yuma and I'm the only one that doesn't live there anymore. My father was born in 1907, he had 3 nephews that also lived in Yuma ( They are also deceased) Their names are Ramon Guerrero Lagunas, Manuel Lagunas and Juan Gerrerro. Hello my girlfriend was surfing the net and she found this message something about Salome Tapia. I don`t know if I am going to be of any help but I can try, I dont know if my family is the one u are looking for but here is some info on my family. I am son of Salome Tapia Jr. , I am 22 years of age and live in Wisconsin, sheboygan but was rasied in Texas. My father lives in Laredo Texas , he is about 48 or 50 something like that I dont know how old he is. He is married to Juanita Velaquez. My fathers father is Salome Tapia Sr. he died a few years back, hes wife was Maria , my grandmother who now lives in Laredo Texas on flores st. she did not and will not remary. They had 8 kids I think Salome Tapia jr. , Rosa, Roberto, Mary, Ruben, Lecha, Juana, and Pedro I think. But u should also know that my grandfather was married before he married my grandmother ,he had a son with her named Demas. I don`t know a whole lot about my family history but I can ask my grandmother any question u may have, I can call her any time after 9 pm then I can write u back with the answers to your questions. My mother's maiden name was Armenta, but her mother, my grandmother's name was Guadalupe Laguna. Guadalupe married Doreteo Armenta, and they had four children, Elena, Seraco, Jovelina, and Maria Soledad, who was my mother. Guadalupe's uncles were Pedro Laguna, Pilar , Crispin, and Hilarion Laguna. Her aunts were Tiburcia laguna, Juanita (died), and Andrea, who married someone named Pedro Ramirez, they had children, but I only know the name of two, Angelita, and Anita. My mother, Soledad Armenta married Anastacio Negrete in Mexico on May 12, 1930. They moved to Somerville, Texas, where they are both buried in the Mexican Cemetery.Mother was born on march 25, 1910. and Daddy was born on April 15,1898. Soledad was born on the hacienda del Paraiso de Don Simon Guerrero, estado de Guanajuato, San Pedro Piedra Gorda. She was baptized in Fenjamo, Guanjuato. San Pedro is the name of the church, where mother was baptized. Her padrinos were Juan Armenta and Salome Tapia. Mother was next to the youngest. Any help.

Hi! I am researching my husband's family from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Their surname is/was "Laguna". I was told by my mother-in-law that the Laguna(s) lived in Guaynabo and in an area known as a "Mamey". Her father's name was Damaso Laguna and his father was Bernandino Laguna and his father was Santiago Laguna. Damaso had several brothers and, I believe a sister (Ulises, Antonio, Jose Dario, Ramon and Juana). These people mentioned all had children. If any of these names are familiar or a relative of yours, please let me know. I really would like to exchange information. My husband and mother-in-law were born in NYC and had very little contact with the Laguna(s) in Puerto Rico. I had spoken to Ulises twice about 10 years ago, but he has since died. My name is Angela and I am from a Laguna family that resided in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Unfortunatly, my dad and mom never married and Robert Laguna is my father. I doubt you are in any way related, but figured Id give it a shot since I am just starting my search for him. WOW:D I have never met anyone with my last name except for those in my family. My father was raised in Hayden, Arizona. My Tata's name was Arturo Lagunas and his mother's name was Maria. I have found sveral roots in the Aragón province. If your brother is conducting a search of the surname, I am sure that he can find relatives in Alabatillo (Los Monegros), Almuniente,Gistain,Alberuela de Tubo, Teruel and Soria.

Estimado José Ignacio: Mi nombre es Ramiro Laguna y vivo en el norte de México en la Ciudad de Tijuana, Baja California. Mi padre fué originario del estado de Guanajuato al igual que mi Abuelo y creo que mi bisabuelo también. Lo que se del apellido es que los más antiguos que se conocen provienen de Aragón. En mi país, las concentraciones mayores del apellido se encuentran en los estados de Veracruz, Guanajuato, Sonora,Baja California y el Distrito Federal. Espero nos podamos mantener en contacto y tratemos de buscar el puente entre del (los) ancestros que emigraron hacia México.

Por otro lado, en una página de la cuál posteriormente y si te interesa te puedo enviar la dirección, encontré el apellido tan atrás como 1603 (en España por supuesto)

Espero te sea de utilidad ya que en Europa, los registros son mucho mas antiguos y mejor llevados que los americanos. Por otro lado, me gustaría saber si tienes información sobre el escudo de armas del apellido.
