Good evening...Anna Belle Voss was my great great grandmother..I was fortunate to get a couple photos of her recently.. I am trying to find any other photos or more information on her...I was told that she was raised by a family by the last name of Lane I believe...that she was adopted as well...I see she was listed as a servant on one of the census records....some one mentioned she may have been a native american, so that would account for that...I have a photo of her husband who looks to be very Native American.....any help would be greatly appreciated....

Does anyone have information on Recha Stern. Who were her parents and grandparents. I suspect she was cousin, but I am unsure how. I am descended from Julius Stern, son of Joseph Stern, of Flieden. Julius was born in 1825, and had no male siblings, so I am guessing that Recha may be descended from a sibling of Joseph, born late 1700s.

Thank you for the information. So far I have not researched past Isaac and Elizabeth. Just at a quick look at Elizabeth does not appear anyone has been able to name her mother. I see conflicting info for Isaac's father either Abraham or John. I keep going through the female side which is proving to be difficult. I know for my mother's side I just sent off for some death certificate copies in order to find her mothers name (hopefully). This could be what I end up trying to do with Elizabeth if I keep looking and find nothing. I will give you any new information I find.

Just got back from vacation, so I just read your post. Edward Green was a brother to my great-grandfather Truax Laffett. I haven't researched Edward's line, so I can't give you any info on Della.

I have the Whitworth line back to Isaac (abt 1800) and Elizabeth McComick or McCormick (Sep 1809- Mar 27,1877). Elizabeth's last name comes from one of the children's death certificate--can't remember which one off the top of my head. (Mo Sec of State has scanned in on her website death cert's from 1910 to 1959)

Hope this helps you in some way. Do you have any more on Isaac and Elizabeth?

Tanny

I know the names Edward Whitworth and Della Tolle. They are my ancestors. Della and Edward had Willena France Whitworth who married Clifton Potter who had my granmother Willena Joyce who married Frank Delano Hendricks. I am their son's Rick Hendrick's daughter. I have been looking through the Tolle line going back on the female side. I do believe Della's mother and father were Maranda/Alex Sebastian. I have found records indicating this. I even think prehaps they moved to Missouri from Kentucky. any leads would be great. Let me know if there is anyway I can be of help to you.
Carl Laemmle's daughter...

Still, It's a Better Excuse Than a Burger Run

May 16, 1927
Beverly Hills, CA

Rosabelle Laemmle, only daughter of Carl Sr., was arrested for speeding in Beverly Hills,CA today. When Officer McBane asked where she was headed in such a big hurry on this Saturday night, she replied, "To the dentist." Unfortunately for Rosabelle, she'd already used that excuse on McBane twice before. Tired of playing the chump, McBane said, "I advise you to have all your teeth pulled out and to present this speeding ticket to Justice of the Peace Etrelinger on the 23rd."

While it's tempting to call this story just another example of heiresses behaving badly, Rosabelle was really a fairly good egg. After her mother's death in 1918, Rosabelle, then a teenager, took over management of all household duties. As her father's success grew, so did her responsibilities, and she became known in Los Angeles society as a terrific hostess. In her late teens, she flirted first with the idea of becoming an actress, and then with her father's protege, Irving Thalberg. However, Rosabelle's interest in the limelight eventually faded, as did the romance (Thalberg is thought to have left Universal, in part, because of this).

Rosabelle wedded businessman Stanley Bergerman in 1929, settled down, and had two children.

Jan 14,1929

Married.
Hi!
My gg grandparents are Issac Stump and Martha Ann Lee Whitworth. Isaac was the brother of John Washington. I wondered if you have pictures that you are willing to share of the Whitworth family. I have pictures of Issac and Martha, John Washington and their sister Sarah who married Truax Wheeler.
I also have headstone pictures of Issac and Elizabeth, which I'm sure you have. I would love to exchange pictures and information if you are intersted.. I just went to a Whitworth reunion this past summer in Oklahoma. I was given Issac Stump's Civil War papers (very interesting)
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks

Looks like Lamley board is pretty quiet. I am researching my Mother's LAMLE family. Have found great grandparents Christian and Barbara Lamle married Crawford Co OH Oct 1862. Found immigration for Christian LAEMLE on ship Rattler from Harve to NY arriving Mar 30, 1857.
He lists Wurttemberg on his naturalization papers. We know of only one son for sure, Benjamin Franklin LAMLE born Sep 5, 1868 in Indianapolis, IN. There were six children - would like to find more of them. No census for them between 1860 and 1900. They are in Miami Co KS in 1900 census.
ANY INFO WOULD BE MOST WELCOME!

Sondra,
Thank you for the information you posted. One of my main stumbling blocks (aside from lack of time for research, of course) is not finding a ships passenger record for William Lamley when he came to the U.S. from England (I presume they boarded ship from Eng.) in 1820's.

A local history that interviewed Luke Lamley, son of William and Mary Lamley, states that Luke was born in Worstershire Eng. and came to the U.S. (would have been about 5 yrs. old) and was in New York for a few months. At some point they moved to Ohio then in 1840's, MO.

If you ever come across a ship record for a William Lamley or similiar surname, please let me know.

Hi Brenda or Tanafra. Seen your message. I have been researching for Lemley's overseas. They say George Lemley's father came from Southhampton, England. Couldn't find anything on Lemley but spelling of it is different overseas. I found William Lambley of Bloxham in 1712 England also spelled Lamley married to Mary Bevington dau of Ann. They were Quakers. While looking at this I found Robert Lamley a prisoner brought to England who was with Captain Kidd when captured. They were taken to Eng. in H.M. S. Advice from New England. Quaker tree was started with William. I think this might be George Lemley's father or grandfather. I don't know if it is in these Lamley lines. I need to know also. Captain was all around the country over there even around Holland where they were in those areas. Also there was a Jerg (George)Lembgen from Holland who's name on the Ship Hampshire was Yerick Lamley, supposed to land in Phil,Pa in 1748. Any info any one has on Lamley's from England, Southhampton district would be appreciated. Hope this may help you. Still searching. Sondra

I saw the message mentioning Bessie Mae Whitworth and Braymer and wondered if there might be a connection. John's father's name was Issac; his mother, Elizabeth. His wife was Permelia Matthews. He had a son, Truax. If some of these sound familiar, please contact me.

Tanafra Murray

He was from England then his parents were in Ohio before coming to MO. One child of LUKE was named JOHN. I believe Luke also had a brother named JOB. This John could have been his son, as well. Would love to know anything that is in this BIBLE!

I stumbled upon this message board after being contacted by Elaine Lamley who saw my name on a random e-mail that was being sent around and thought we might be related. We are still in the process of figuring out where we fit in with each other but meanwhile I thought I would post what I know. My husband is Steven Lee Lamley and his father is Joseph Phillip Lamley. Joe married Beverly Sue Wade and they had 3 other children besides my husband. We all live in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Joseph's dad was Charles Oscar Lamley from around Braymer Missouri. Charles married a woman named Effie. I'll find out her maiden name. Charles had a brother. Don't know his name but I'll find out. I will find out more this weekend and try to fill in more information.

Hi,
I thought it best to let you know of a few more relatives out here. My Grandfather Albert "Shady" Lane whose mother was Della Ann Josephine Lamley were from that same area of Missouri, namely Mercer and Princeton and Caldwell,Co. My grandmother was Rhoda Goddard Mason Lane and had a sister Bessie who lived to be 92 and lived here in Montana as well. They all came from the same area in Missouri and they came to Montana with the Davis's, Frenicks, and some other families that still live around here. Della's parents were Luke and Lucretia Lamley. Clyde Lane was married to Ethel Wheeler and they may have called her Pat. That would be my grandfather's brother.
Anyway let me know if you need all the blanks filled in on this side of the ledger.
Bye for now. Dennis

Hi, I couldn't help noticing the messages on the board and decided to drop you a line. My Grandmother Rhoda Goddard Lane's first husband Albert Thomas Lane was related to your Lamley's. His father C.W. Lane was married to Della Ann Josephine Lamley a daughter of Luke and Lucretia Lamley. I knew my Grandmother had relations around Braymer and Chilicothe because I remember her talking about them. My Mom is a Lane and is now 80 yrs. old. Her sister Helen is quite a storehouse of info as well. They were around Princeton and Mercer Co. Missouri, but my grandparents came to Montana between
1915 and 1920. My mother's Aunt Orva Lane was married to a Wetzel. Grandpa Albert "Shady" Lane had a brother Clyde and a brother Clifford as well as a younger sibling who died young 24 yrs. old. That was
Merritt Earl Lane. There's quite a few Lane's
and other family members buried at Black Oak
Cemetary-Mercer, Caldwell Co. Missouri.
Drop me a line when you have some time. Thanks.
my goodness, my goodness, i finally found someone who has some info on this lamley clan. i agree they are extremely hard to track down.my father was edward leroy lamley his father was clyde leroy of braymer mo. his mother was bessie mae whitworth. his brothers and sisters were put into an orphanage when they were young, my father ran away at age 14. the siblings were f.d. lamley eutha lee lamley and i beleive billy lee who were twins i don't have the other names right now but will look them up. but some of the names you have listed sound so so so familiar. i remember my father saying something of a goldie lamley also the names florence, hattie was my fathers aunt who died in a nursing home in excelsior springs mo. this is all from memory but you can contact me at craterite1@aol.com i am very interested in knowing what you know and i will find my info at home and share with anyone interested. thank you all soooo much
