we are probably cousins, my Lariou relatives are as follows, my grandmother was athina Lariou, she was born in Vathy Samos 1913 and died 2010, her father was Antonis Larios, he had two sons and two daughters,Ioannis Larios born in Vathy but who lived in Athens and had one son Antoni, and another son Dimitris (Mitsos) who emmigrated to the usa in the 40's or 50's and never came back to Samos, the two daughters were my grandmonther Athina and her sister Katina who died in the 1980's. My grandmother was the oldest in the family. with the similarities in the names, My grandmother's parents were Antonis larios and Fotini (Kivernitiou) Larios, my great grandfather had a brother who was Nikolaos who was a permanent army professional and he played the violin. so did his son Andreas who is still alive and living in thessaloniki greece, my personal email is lisa@grecia.com.au please contact me.

Hi there. I am Angeliki Larios (lariou in Greek). My father Ioannis Larios, who died in 2007 was from Samos. My grandfather's name was Manolis Larios (Emanouil Larios), he was from Vathi of Samos. He was married to my grandmother Angeliki Larios (angela Lariou). My grandmother was from Mesogea of Samos. My grandmother was born somewhere between 1900-1904, and died in 1992 in Perama of Pireus in Athens. My grandfather Manolis died in Pireus in 1948. My father Ioannis (Yannis) was born in 1945 in Pireus. I know my father had three brothers, a brother named Andreas and a sister named Theano who died as kids in the 2nd world war. The other sister's name is Eumorfia (morfoula) Lariou and must be arround 75 years old. I know they had men in the army in my family, and that my grandfather Manolis had a brother named Andreas somewhere. He also played the violin back in Samos. That's all i know from my dad's family. I don;t know if i was helpfull, but hopefully we may help each other with relatives because i don't know most of them also.

I'm Ben Larios and my father is Nahum Larios from Usmajac, Jalisco born in the 30s which is on the other side of the train tracks from Sayula. My grand father was Nicolas Larios{judge and seargeant of arms for sayula in the 20-30s} from Amatitlan, Jalisco which was the native name of an area next to Sayula. Ive been to the area several times and have met hundreds of relatives in the area. Larios' in Sayula are famous knife makers.

My Grandma was from sayula her name was Josefina Larios her mother was named Julia Larios dont know if she had a middle name. I have alot of have family down there but dont know any of them. I do remember an aunt named Rosenda which was my Grandmas sister. They had a ranch out there but dont remember the name of it...I can get more info from my brother. Did your grandfather Ramon die at approximately 106 yrs of age ? Did he have any of the following siblings: Susana Larios, Marino Larios,Alberto Larios all of whom are still alive

Does Daniel Garcia ring a bell? He died in Chicago at approximately year 2006. His daughter is a chicago city police officer her name is Rebeca Garcia, that's her name before marriage, i am not aware of her marital status. If any of this information rings a bell please reply.

I had relatives livin in Sayula Jalisco. My dad is from Sayula originaly. My dad has a brother, Dr. Salvador Larios, who used to lived there for the longest. I don't think I have any other direct relatives living there but it would be nice to find out about other relatives either here in the states or in mexico.

Estolano Larios and Lillian Bassett

From Cypress Lawn Cemetery records, I have verified that the name of Estolano Larios' first wife was Lillian Bassett. Some postings have Letitia Bassett in error. She was born ~1857 probably in San Francisco and was said to have been of French Canadian descent. Lillian and Estolano were married in San Francisco in 1875 Their daughter (my grandmother), Letitia Ellis Larios, was born March 2, 1876 in Tres Pinos (then Paicines), San Benito County. A second child, probably female, was born in 1879 but died along with Lillian of smallpox. They were buried in the Masonic Cemetery in San Francisco. The remains were moved to Woodlawn Cemetery in South San Francisco in 1919 where no records remain.

Am looking for info on the family of Joseph Larios who lived in San Francisco in 1900 and 1910. He was born about 1862 in CA. He had a daughter named Adeline, born 1884 in California. His daughter's death info says her mother's maiden name was Amaya but doesn't list a first name. I believe the wife listed in the 1900 and 1910 census is not the mother of Adeline but appears to be a second marriage for Joseph. I've had a great deal of trouble tracking this family and could use some help.

I am told they are from Zacatecas. I was born in Chicago as is my father, but my grandparents (Ramon and Maria Larios) were born in Zacatecas. Everywhere I search shows the name LARIOS from Spain origin.

My wife is descended from Jose Antonio Amaya, who was born about 1807 (my estimate) in Colima, Guadalajara, Mexico and died in 1844 in Villa Branciforte, which today is part of Santa Cruz. Jose married Maria Antonia (Rafaela) Larios on April 19, 1826, at Misson San Juan Bautista in California. She was the daughter of Jose Maria Larios and Maria Juliana Linares, who had 11 children in all.

We are trying to find out who Jose Antonio Amaya's parents were. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

It is nice to hear from you. I have checked my family tree list and have found two Juan Larios.

The first one was JUAN GUZMAN LARIOS who was born in 1879. His wife was TOMASA ROBLES SANCHEZ and they were married on 12 Jan 1899. His parents were JOSE NATIVIDAD BERUMEN LARIOS and NORBERTA GARCIA GUZMAN.

The second was JUAN JAUREQUE LARIOS a d he was born on 29 Aug 1899. His parents were JOSE NATIVIDAD TORRES LARIOS (B. 1859) and PETRA JAUREQUE.

I know JUAN is a very common name so these may not be who you are looking for.

I also have a copy of the 1930 census for Garcia de la Cadena and will be happy to do a look-up for you.
