Surnames: Collins, Lawson, Woolum, Davis
My grandfather was Andy Mack Collins he was born in 1888 in Knox County Kentucky. On his death cert it says his father was Ish Lawson and his mother was Jane Collins. From old family storis I gather they were not married to each other but other people when Andy was born so he had to take his mothers maiden name of Collins. He had a half sister named Amanda Lawson who married D.H. Woolum. Does anyone out there know of this story and could possible give me info on Jane Collins and Ish which I beleive is short for Ismal or Isham. Email me at HYEFLYER54@AOL.COM
