John Lawson born Glasgow, died Jamaica (1842-1883)
I'm keen to find out more information on JOHN LAWSON who was born c1842 in Glasgow, Scotland, son of John LAWSON, carpet pattern designer. John jnr was an engineer. I have just been sent his funeral card which reads: Died at Old Harbour, on the 14th Sept 1883, of Rowington Park, Vere, Jamaica.
Anyone have any ideas as to how I can find out more about what he was doing in Jamaica?
