You're welcome. I hoped it helped some. I seen it on genealogy.com, family home page of Kenneth E. Baker. Also you may want to try findagrave.com. I seen where Margaret was buried at Greenhill cemetery in Muskogee. Please let me know what you find out. If I find out anything else I will let you know.
Doing some research for another family ,I came across a Thomas Benjamin Laxton that was married to Margaret Baker. It said they had 3 children Arthur, Ancil and Myrtle. Wasn't sure if you were looking for a Thomas Benjamin or Benjamin Franklin. I didn't know if it could be the same one, just thought I'd let you know. Also it didn't say anything about burial.

My Great Grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Laxton, and he died sometime in 1894 just before my Grandmother Myrtle Laxton was born. Benjamin was born 1864 in Arkansas to James and Mary (Bernard) Laxton. Benjamin married Margaret Baker, she was my Great Grandmother (mother of Myrtle). He died in Choctaw Indian Territory in Oklahoma. However my father said he was never talked about. My Great Grandma Margaret Laxton married Willam Rains when my Grandmother was only two years old.
There is no record of his death or where he is buried. His siblings were Liddie, John, James, Albert Gerome and David. It is all such a mystery and wondered if anyone researching the Laxtons, knew anything. Thank you, Frances
To Rhodene57. I am thinking that we may have communicated some years back. I have never been able to find our Charles Edward Laxton who was born in Houston TX 1873 (my husband's grandfather) other than one entry: 1900 Federal Census in TX. He died in 1910 in Portland OR and we do have records on that. Family history says he was the son of a Charles Edward Laxton and perhaps even others of that name were in his past line. Your Charles who had a son Charles and went from TN to TX possibly is the link. I would be grateful to see your info. I can give you recent family info on this line and our family stories on "the Laxton's." Here is a bit: "The Laxton's went west into TN with Daniel Boone. Some later went to Missouri and some into TX. The father of Dean's grandfather died from being thrown from a horse and the mother died early also - making the 2 or 3 (??) sons orphaned." The brother we know about, was James Laxton who, as a little boy, walked with another family from MO to OR. He remained in OR, but it seems the two brothers did not have any contact with each other as adults (??). Grandfather Charles E. L. was a lineman in Portland OR. He was on a pole and he took a hold of a power line that was supposed to be turned off and safe. He died right there and left 4 children (One was my husband's father) and a pregnant wife. Looking forward to hearing from you. Jech6

I am a descendent of Robert Laxton, son of Clement, (through Claude and Carl). Do you have any information about Clement in England when he was married to Lucy Lancaster? Did he have children there? How did he came to the U.S.?

I visited the village of Laxton near Nottingham in the 1990s. No Laxtons buried in the cemetery there, however, the name of Richard de Lexington (1170) came up in the history of Laxton, or Lexington. I don't know if there is a connection or not.

I, too, am looking for the ancestors of Henry LAXTON b. abt 1820 d. abt 1901; he Married Eliza JEFFS in 1842. They are my husband's great-great-grandparents. I am still researching this line, but I do have some information about Henry LAXTON's descendants. What is your relationship to this LAXTON family?

Marsha

Hi Robert. Not sure if this message will reach you as your post is eight years old! Anyway, William Robert Laxton was my great grandfather. You say his mother's name was Callie Henderson, where did you find this information? I was told that his mother's name was Della. I found her on the 1900 census in Eudora, MS. She listed as head of household living with several of she and Isaac's children. Issac was living alone in Tipton County, TN on the same census. I haven't found her anywhere before or after that census though. William Robert (who was called Will, by the way) named one of his daughters Della after her. My grandmother, who was Will's daughter, told me all of this. Will did have a sister named Callie. Perhaps Isaac's wife's name was Della Callie or Callie Della? I've been told that my Laxton line was Cherokee Indian but I've found no proof of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are details relating to Joseph William Laxton. He was born in Handsworth and he was a member of the Royal Engineers.

Can anybody tell me more

Kind regards

Robert.
