Samuel & Annie Leach ???

I am looking for Samuel Leach born in Arkensas. He married Annie Otter born in 1867 in Kentucky. Their children's names are; Walter, Ettie, Jennie Alace, Newton, and Lennie.
They lived in or near East Prarie, Mo. in 1891. Any help would be appreiciated!!

read with interest your post of the origin of the Leach name. You noted that we were a Sept of another Clan, could this be related to the Blue Clan which was a Sept of the MCMillian Clan. I attended one of their meetings last year in North Carolina.

Michael Stephen Leach, 64, of Waverly, Ohio formerly of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Friday April 6, 2012, at Adena Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio

He was born on November 11,1947, in Gallia County, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Evelyn (Brisker) Leach and daughter, Emily Ann Leach.

Michael was a U.S. Army veteran, Vietnam, and a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 30+ years.

He is survived by his son Michael B. (Cortney) Leach of Jackson, Ohio, sister Rita (Leon) McGhee of Cocoa, Fla. and four grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan, Devin, and Dennis.

Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday, April 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 12, at 1 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Disabled Americans Veterans Chapter 45, 170 Pearl Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640, or the American Legion Merrett Post 142, 201 James Road, Waverly, Ohio 45690.

Perhaps you can be of some assistance to me. Also buried in Texas Valley Cemetery is my direct ancestor, Daniel Rankin, who was first married to a Bethiah Leach. She was probably the child of Daniel Leach and Bethiah Keith. I have no record of her death or even if they divorced. But Daniel then married Sally or Sarah Jones Leach (her first husband died) and she was the daughter of Jonathan Leach. Do you have any further information about this Bethiah Leach?

The Leach family is my grandmother's family, her name is Pearl Leach,Jurrens at the time of her passing. Her last name was Strain. My dad Ray would tell my sisters and I about how our family helped carve out Rushmore.

Alton Hoot Leach was my grandfather and the rest were brothers as far as I know. I feel horrible since my sister is the "historian" in the family.

if you still have the information I know my sister would love to add it to the family tree.

I believe she is listed under Heidinnicky for her profile name. She would love to add this under the Leach tree.

Attached Picture found while cleaning out my Grandmothers belongings.

Writing on back "Mama was 35 years old when picture taken", also says Calhoun, which must mean Calhoun Nebraska.

Mama has to be Jennie Thompson Leach - born Sept 1862 Illinois Died - October 1932 in Seal Beach California, I know this as she would have been my G G Grandmother. If so picture would be from 1897.

Her Spouse Henry T Leach born 1859 in Illinois, Died December 1932 in Seal Beach, CA.

If this is a family picture of the Leach Family then the parents would be Abram O Leach and Mary Leach.

Some of the chidren are:

Eliza Leach
Hugh Leach
Andrew Leach

OF course this is all speculative as I'm going off my Great Grandmothers writing on the back of a photo.

Im looking to find out who George W. Leach's paretns were. he was born in rochester new york in 1830, served in the civil war (Buffalo chapter) married Julia Ryan. He died in 1914 and was buried in veterans cemetary in Ohio. Any help is appreciated. Census records state both of his parents were born in New York but I have no names.

Ephraim Smith Leach is my great great great great grandpa. During and after the civil war he lived in South Carolina and married a free black woman and had kids with her. I am descended from this part of the family not the one in Vermont. He is buried in Beaufort national Cemetary in South Carolina.

well Melford frank leach was my father, did not see him after I was five yrs old...he was married to my mom, after his first wife martina, I know my mom divorced him in the late sixties or early 70's and it is nice to know ... to know there are relatives out there, as I did not grow up with either side of my family...;-)

It has been eight years since your post, however, I hope you are still checking this site.
I am seeking information re a John LEACH b. April 1836 KY to a Miriam?? - do not know his father's name. John was in MO 1850 census, 1860 census in Vacaville, Solano Co., CA, 1870 in Lake Co., CA. 1880 John was in Ashland, OR and in 1887 he was in Tacoma, WA where he remained and died.

John married Martha Ellen SCOTT bef. 1860. She was born Jan. 20, 1844 MO. This couple had:
Emma, Horace, John C., Sarah Ella, Eudora, Melissa Miriam, Frank, Henry, Minnie, Hattie, George, Lulu, Charlotte May.

Do any of these names appear in your data? I am most anxious to find spouses for some of the daughters. John's mother Miriam remains a mystery.
