Hi there just seen your thread and after reading it I spoke to my dad (brian Ledbury) his dad my grandad was called Frank Ledbury who also had a sister with the same name Edith and my grandad Frank lived in temple cottages they come from at Albans so it's all looking very likey that relations have been found please could you get back to me on my hot mail account witch is eledbury@hotmail.co.uk thank you Emma Ledbury

Susan, I believe we have the same ancestors in Edward and Ann (Selina Roberts) Ledbury. I believe they are both buried in the cemetary at the Westbury Leigh Baptist Church in Dilton Marsh, Wiltshire. I'd love to discuss w/you. My email is nrwgnwd@gmail.com. Cheryl

My husband's grandfather was a brother of Ann Selina (born 19 Feb 1880). More information has come to light recently - hope to fill in some gaps with any information anyone else can offer.

Ledbury from South Wales

I am researching the family of James Lidbury b. Downhead, Somerset c.1833, and his wife Lucy nee ??. Moved to Hirwain, South Wales and had four children, William, Sarah, James and Annie.
William Lidbury married Eliza Clark in 1878, and appears thereafter as Ledbury. They had 6 children born in Tonypandy between 1879 and 1894. Would welcome contact with anybody connected to this family.

A son of Edward Ledbury and Ann Selina Roberts was born in 1834. In 1856 Alfred married Leah Gunstone and their children were Henry, Joshua, Thomas Albert(1864), Grace and Alfred Edward. Thomas Albert is my ggrandfather. Henry and Catherine went to Massachussets and Joshua,Thomas, and Alfred went to Portland, Oregon

My gt grandmother, Ann Selina Ledbury, was born on February 19 1880, the daughter of Ben Ledbury and Ellen Gerrish of Dilton Marsh. I think Ben was born in 1858, in Dilton, the son of Edward Ledbury (born 1811) and Ann Selina Roberts (born 1814?). This my direct line, although I have other details.
I have been having problems with this line and would appreciate any help. Thanks

Any information that you can provide me with will be much appreciated and perhaps my little summary might help you.

I am looking for any information on the Ledbury line the oldest member of the family that I can be sure of is Alfred George Edward Ledbury, Born abt 1760 Dilton Marsh, Westbury, Wiltshire, England.
I would like to know if anyone else is researching this family and if so is there a conection to the Ledburys from Somerset.
