Patrick Joseph Lelievre

I am searching for any information on my grandfather Patrick Joseph Leaver. His surname at birth was actually Lelievre. However I was told that the army changed it to something "easier" when he enlisted in 1941 up for WWII. He was 15 when he enlisted and was 19 when he came home in 1945.
He met and married my grandmother Mary Jane Chiasson in 1946.
Is there anyone out there who may have any information abotu him?

Just today I read about your search for Henri Lelievre and I'm also searching for a Henry Lelievre who lived in Quebec and was born about 1803. He had two daughters Caroline and Harriet. I don't know his wife's name. Could it be the same person?
I hope you're still interested because it's been quite a long time since you put your search.

I'm searching for Henri Lelievre born abt. 1803 he married Angeline or Angelique. He had two daughters Caroline and Harriet. Caroline was married to Winnette Lockhart Melville.I haven't found any information on the Lelievre family in Quebec. Any information is very welcome

Seeking information regarding Henri Lelievre born in 1851 (France?). Henri had a twin brother and together they traveled to Quebec, CA. Henri remained in Quebec and married Anastasie Guillette. Henri's brother returned to France and they lost touch with each other. Any leads, information would be appreciated.

I came across the message board hoping to find someone that could give me information on four surnames, LeLievre, LaFleur, DeLeo & Palmisano. LeLievre, LaFleur & DeLeo all lived in MA. Francois & Marie had a son, Henri LELIEVRE. Henri's dob is July 14, 1851, France. Henri married Anastasie Guillet Nov. 21, 1876, St., Athanese, QC.
