Looking for information on my great great grandmother on my mothers side of the family. She was in boarding school in June 1838 in England and her home, I believe, was No. 5 Shepperton Place, New North Road, Islington.

My moms maiden name was Maud Lemaitre. She was born in Brittany France, and came to the U.S. when she was about 18 years old. My grandmother lived in Nice France for awhile, her second husbands name was Henri Bajard but they divorced and he married a women named Harriet. I dont know who my real grandparents are, it was and is a big mystery. Even my mother doubted that she ever had a sister (Marcelle). Marcelle married Mark Halpern, they lived in N.Y.C. after coming to the U.S. Any information would be so helpful!

Niki - Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. My Joseph Maitre (LeMaitre), based on census information was born in 1860. My search is who he married. I know that he had two boys Eugene and Joseph in 1900 (Eugene was 10 and Joseph 14) but listed as a widow. They were in Cadillac MI. Do you have anything on your Frank Joseph?

I believe it is in the Book Ancestors of Claude Lemaistre-
Lemaitre. Claude was my 6th G. grandfather. I would have
to dig out my book. My Mother was a Delamarter.
Hester remarried after. I also have the Book the Revised
New Harlem register. Claude & 2 Sons were Patentees.

Hi Kim,

The only thing I have on Frank Joseph is a birth date of May 8, 1857 in Hutchinson, MN and death date of May 6, 1918, still in Hutchinson. No idea who he married or any children. He had 6 brothers and 3 sisters that I know of. Parents were Joseph Sr. (1831-1870) and Veronica Voirol (1829-1884).

I am searching for the parents and family of Joseph LeMaitre. He was born Jan 1831 in Bardeaux, France and died 10 Dec 1870 Hutchinson, Mcleod County, Minnesota, USA. He married Veronic Voirol on 25 Dec 1852 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They had 11 children. Veronica was born 18 Aug 1829 in Geniva, Switzerland and died 7 Jan 1884 in Minnesota.

Anyone know anything about him or his ancestry? He was my grandfather, from Compiegne. He immigrated to St. Louis or East St. Louis in 1891, and was born in 1871, dying in 1923. He had a son and a daughter by his first wife, a Leon (poss. Leo) Paul LeMaitre and Pauline LeMaitre. His second wife, Alice Thorp, and he had my father, Robert Lee LeMaitre (1919-1971). Any info would be greatly appreciated!
