Finally pleased to find some other Lemins. My greatfather Charles Lemin d1936 left Cornwall some time at the turn of 20th century to immgrate to Tasmania. He spent approximately 10 years there before moving on and settling in Invercargill New Zealand. He a keen brass band player and a member of the Salvation Army. Does this connect to any other Cornwall Lemins.

I am a Lemin from cornwall, i currently live around where my great grandparents came from which is the St Mewan parish nr St Austell (or as we call it St Awfull) I find it quite interesting that the Lemin Family are spread so far and wide. I presume it was the Tin mining that was the main reason. My father Roger Lemin still keeps alot of old documents from his grandfather as regards to marriages and births, and mining history, and I know he would be interested in hearing from any long lost Janners.
Also if there is any other information I can help with I would be more than pleased.
Regards
Gary Lemin

Gary I am now able to trace my lemin ancestors back to 1560 in cornwall, with some considerable assistance from Charles Lemin in Austrailia. I am happy to share this information with others. Dont hesitate to contact me

regards Arthur
