Hello,
I am a Lemin by marriage. My husband's great great Grandfather was Thomas P. Lemin born in Devon, but his family had moved there from Redruth in Cornwall. Thomas Lemin's parents were Thomas and Martha Cory Lemin and she died in Pennsylvania.
The elder Thomas was the son of Solomon and Honour Carter Lemin both born in Cornwall. As far as I can tell Solomon was the son of Peter and Joan Williams Lemin
Thomas was born in 1850 and by 1873 was in New Jersey, USA married to an Irish girl (immigrant also) named Margaret Folliard. He was a coal miner and factory worker. They settled in Delware County, Pennsylvania, where great granddad was born.
I do have a little bit on the Lemin's in Cornwall and Devon and would love to learn more about the families. It seems that they named the children after relatives and I get VERY confused. LOL
I have also noted that there were Lemin's in the US as early as the early 1800's..Also in the past I have corresponded with a Lemin in East Anglia but have lost his address.
