hi! i have recently started my "quest" of my geneaology and havent gotten too far. the LeMins that i know of are few and the info isnt much... my great grandmother was born Edrie Anna LeMin on July 22,1900 in (we believe)Branchville, NJ. Edrie died April of1984 in Brick,NJ. She married William Fransis Downey (born June 17 1898 died may 1980) in 1919.
Edrie had a sister Florence Helen LeMin (ward was her married name) who was born March 15 1889 in NJ and died feb 1977 in NJ. They had a brother named Joseph who was born sept 27, 1902 and died dec 1977. He married Margaret born Aug 6 1917 died Jan 1973. Their mother was Pearl Etta Reed (her maiden name) LeMin. I cannot seem to find anything else! i dont know when pearl was born who her parents were or even who her husband was...we were told that her mother was Jemima Black Reed and there was a J.D. Reed but i cannot find any information anywhere else! if anyone has any info at all PLASE let me know! this has become very important lately since my mother is now moved into the house that my great grandmother grew up in...we are trying to find as much as we can. thanks to all!

I have no information on the Reeds or other names besides some Lemin's

Being that my Lemin Family came from Devonshire, England and immigrated to New Jersey (Franklin Furnace) there may be a connection I am not aware of. There is a Lemin (Lemin) descendant in the the New Jersey-Pennsylvania area. I can not get to her email address at this time but if you email me at slemin46@yahoo.com I will try to find it for you.

Our Lemins lived in Devon, England but were born in Redruth, Cornwall, England. They migrated from Cornwall to Devon. Some of the son's, such as Thomas P. Lemin went to New Jersey and then across to PA. Thomas' mother Marth Cory Lemin may have came with him or another brother after her husband, Thomas Lemin passed. She died at Wilkes Barre, Luzerne Co., PA Jan. 11, 1908. She had these children:
John b. 1840, Elizabeth b. 1843, Mary A. b. 1845, Jane b. 1847, William b. 1849, Thomas Paul b. 1850, Martha b. 1853, Solomon who was born and died 1855.

Thomas P. Lemin married Margaret Folliard 1873, Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, Grace Church Rectory. They were Catholic if you are interested in the religion and the parishes have records.
