my knowledge is very limited, but my great grandmother was Sylveria Leos Rodriguez b. 1908 in La Grange TX. I know she had at least one brother who lived in San Antonio. If anyone might know anything i'd appreciate it.

my grandfathers name was julio leos, he came from san luis potosi, he made his way to reynosa tamps where he raised my father and my aunts. natividad, gloria, maria, carlos, reynaldo..... and im not sure about my other family.

I've done some research on my dad's side of the family. Although my grandfather was born in Ciudad Acuna, Coahulia, the rest of the family was from Villa de Cos, Zacatecas and Moctezuma, San Luis Potosi. If you have relatives in this area, we are probably related. Would love to share. Didn't realize there were so many Leos' out there. Didn't think it was a very common name. We're all cousins some where down the line!

Hi, my name is Rachel Leos, and this may come 7 years too late. you may already have your answer...you may not even get this, but when I read your message, I was struck by the name Velazquez. My father's mother's name was Dolores Velazquez before she married into the Leos family via my grandfather, Faustino Leos Sr. They had 8 kids, of which my father, Faustino Leos Jr. was the oldest. Anything ringing any kind of bells?

You might consider doing a DNA test.
There is a kit that you get at home and can do.
They will match your dna and Mario's dna and if there is a match in any of the dna databases, they will let you know.

If you are interested in doing this, let Mario know and I will help him get it done.

The dna test are ran through the University of Arizona and throuh Family Tree genealogy services. They cost $99 and up, depending on the test.

From what Mario has said, the dna test may be your best bet to make connections.

I have just had the LONG dna test done and awaitting the results.

I am from San Antonio TX. Marcianna Leos (maiden name) was my maternal great grandmother. She married great grandpa Cipriano Velazquez. They had my grandpa Fernando Velazquez who, I am told, was a musician. He married Ambrosia Garcia. They had my mother, Hortencia Velazquez in Bastrop TX in 1915 and she is still living. She married my dad, Louis Arciniega Trinidad in 1946. Their children are Lillian (myself), Irma, Lea, Louis Jr. I look forward to all replies.

Well I was just looking through any information on the web in regards to our last name Leos. I remember my father talking to me about relatives living in Anaheim. We reside in East L.A. My grandfathers name was Abram Leos, my grandmother was named Hortencia Holguin-Leos. I also know that my grandfather had a brother Nicolas that lived next door to us for many years before they passed away. Maybe you can ask if anyone of your family members remembers any of mine. I was really surprised to see that you were married to a man that has the same name as my father. My father is also Carlos Leos and we reside in East L.A. I just so happened to search for our last name and came across your message. My
grandfathers name was Abram Leos and my grandmother was Hortencia Holguin-Leos. I don't know if that is any connection to your family but it would be nice if you can research it.
