I have a John Lerue b NY 1814. He spent some time in PA and I suspect that he may have had relatives there. He eventually settled in MI (abt 1850). His father, also John Lerue, b VA - but have little info for him.

It has been a long time since you posted your note but I am interested in knowing more about your Charlotte Lerue. I am looking for Lerues in PA (Lancaster, Berks or York Counties). I have Hain/Haines/Hains/ Heinz who may
somehow be related. My interest is the years from 1700 to mid 1800s. I would love to compare what we know about the Lerue family.
searching for roots

I am searching for the birth data for Helena Louisa LeRue, presumably born in Canada. She married my maternal Great Grandfather, Maurice MacDonald Seymour, M.D. I am also searching for data on my G.Grandfather. My aim in this research is to eventually find the Native American tribe that Helena came from. I suppose Helenas' Mothers' birth data would be helpful. I am under the impression that Helenas' mother married a french fur trapper, and that Helenas' mother was native. I would appreciate any information. Thankyou.
