Lawrence is pictured in the 43-B class flight yearbook of Lubbock Army Air Field in Lubbock, Texas. He is a flight cadet. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the family.

My grandfather is named Albert Liberty and he was born in the early 1900's in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. His ancestors are native. Not sure if they are related. His families original name was Laliberte which is french canadian.

Liberty family in Canada/NY

I am looking for any information about Amelia Liberty (born in Canada but moved to NY around Plattsburgh, Cohoes area). She was born abt 1832 and married Eli Boucher/Bushey. There were some stories that the family was native american.

No. Back to the early 1800's most still live in Ontario. Do have 2 Freds. One is Frederick Benson Liberty 1895-1967 and Frederick Eric 1921-1976. Both born and died in Ontario.

I have info on Liberty's that go back to Winchester Springs Ont. No known tie to Plattsburg, but maybe they cross back in QE. where they originated.

Did I ask you where you live? I Can't remember. My oldest sister and I are planning to visit Aunt Margie hopefully in May if we can work out the details. I'm trying to put together a list of things to ask her. Do you have any questions to add to the list? If we can't go see her I will at least send her a letter with a list of questions.

I have a copy of Delia and Williams marriage license. I went there last year (2008) to the court house in Falls city ,Nebr. He was 25 and she was 17 years old. Record is on page 476, in marriage book Richardson Cnty, Nebr. Marriage license 3260, on Dec, 31, 1890, bad copy so year might be suspect. It looks like Marjorie Miller was mothers maiden name and the fathers name was Wm. Hunt. (another best guess). William hunt was born in Missouri and Delia was born in Nebr. William Hunt was the fathers of W. Hunt and John Liberty was the father of Delia Liberty and her mother maiden name was S. Frederick. Witness by Jerome Johnson and Marjorie Johnson and a John Mar???. Can't read and don't want to make a mistake. Does this help any, Ron in Ballwin, MO.

I remember my Great-Uncle Charley Dunn (Aunt Marjorie's brother) telling my Mother don't dig too deep in the family history, you might find a horse thief. I think that was his nice way of saying...don't go there. He wrote a brief family history but it didn't include anything about William Hunt. It just traced the Dunn Family. I've been in the Rulo Cemetery many times and cannot find a William Hunt or a William Miller. I was also told that some of the records from the older part of the Cemetery were lost. I imagine if he is buried there it must be unmarked...maybe for reason. I didn't look in the Catholic Cemetery (up the road) for him but maybe I will when the snow is off the ground. I've searched findagrave.com for him but no luck. I asked about Delia's burial on the findagrave message board and someone looked up her obituary and then went out and photgraphed her grave marker and posted it on the findagrave.com web site. My Grandma is Irene Morehouse Mahaffey, she talks about Ann and Margorie. My grandma is living in Texas, but has a home in Wyoming. She doesn't have much information on her family, just what she has heard from her sisters and cousin (your great-aunt) Marjorie. My Grandma is the only one alive from Margaret Ellens children. My Grandma told me that William died of cancer and that was why he was released from prison. She doesn't remember him or when he died. But she was pretty sure he died in Nebraska. He didn't move with them to Wyoming. So I would think he would be buried in Rulo or Falls city? She doesn't have any pictures of him. In fact she was a little upset when I started digging into the family history and found the article of him shooting the marshall. She didn't want any of us to find that out.
It's very nice to meet you. I wish I knew more to share.

I have the same questions myself. Margaret Ellen's sister, Lucille Amanda was my Great-grandmother. Lucy's daughter, Marjorie is still alive and lives in Denver. She is my Great-Aunt. My sister and I are trying to visit because she said she had some family history written down somewhere. Do you know when William Hunt died and where he is buried? I wonder if anyone has any pictures of him. I was in the process of getting the articles about him from the Nebraska State Historical Society and they closed down for renovation. So all I have is the original stories about him shooting the Marshal. I don't have anything on the trial or sentencing or even where he served his time.

My great grandmother was Margeret Ellen Hunt Miller Morehouse. I have done a little research on Delia Liberty and William Hunt Miller. My grandmother told me William Hunt Miller come to live with them in Nebraska and he had cancer and died. My grandmother was pretty young, she doesn't remember much. She remembers her mom (Margeret Ellen) talking about Delia leaving for Montana and remarrying. I don't know the details of what happened. I did find information on William shooting the Sheriff and going to prison. I would be interested in knowing what transpired during that time. Why did Delia leave her girls and move away? Why did William shoot the Sheriff?

Liberty/Frederick Family Reunion?

William Hunt

I am looking for any info on or photos of William Hunt a.k.a. Bill Miller. He was married to Delia Liberty for a short while and they had two daughters, Margaret Ellen and Lucille Amanda. William's mother married a Jerome Johnson. I know that William murdered the Marshal of Rulo, Nebraska in October of 1900 and was sentenced to life in prison but was released after about 19 years. I would like to know if any of the Johnson family or any other relative have any additional information on him. Where is he buried...etc.

Archie is my grandfather. I agree in part. I've never heard of Kendall before. I do know that they raised Delphine. Her parent died and was raised in the family. I'm don't know who her parents are, I just know she is related to the family.

Abe and Arminta children are John Carl, Mildred Annie, Arminta A, Robert Archie, Raymond Arthur, Rube E and Ralph Leo.

Abe and Eva children are Virgil Harold, Harold Leo, Dorothy F (Dot), Azalia O (Pete), Charles R (Chuck), Richard (Dick)and Loretta.

Eva was married to Albert Allen Black and had 3 children Pearl, Elsie and Marhta. I know very little about these children. They are in the house in the 1910 census but are gone by the 1920 census.

I have a fair amount if info on most of these people and some source to back it up.

I also have Abe's parents, brothers and sister as well as his grandparent with aunts and uncles.

I have several generation on the Johnson's for Arminta but only her mother on the Miller/Hunt side. At this time there is some disagreement on her mothers last name.

The Brothers and sisters of these parents are., Carl, Ray, Rube, Mildred, Archie, Arthur and Ralph. Mildred Married Lewey Elvin Ray and they had Ed Ray, my father. Abraham was also married to Eva Johnson, the sister to Arminta. Abraham and Arminta had Harold, Dorthy, Azalia, Charles, Richard, Rhetta, and a child that was raised by Eva, (Kendall.) I am the Great-great grandaughter of Delia Daisy Liberty. My Great Grandmother was Lucy Hunt Miller Dunn Davis. My Grandfather was Guy William Dunn Sr. and my Mother was Merna Darlene Dunn. Anyone have pictures or information on Delia or her first husband William Hunt/Miller? I know she left him and married Francis Marion Smith and eventually moved to Montana. I also know that William Hunt/Miller murdered the Marshall of Rulo, Nebraska in 1900. After his release from prison he lived with his daughter Margaret Ellen Hunt Miller Morehouse for awhile.

Stella Liberty, daughter of Levi Liberty and Laura Russell, was born in Starksboro, VT on December 10,1873 and died in Waterbury, VT on April 17,1947. She now rests next to her second husband, Frank Morrill at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven, VT.

Looking for descendants of William & Edna Liberty who lived in Colorado. William was born about 1891 in Massachusetts and Edna Northup was born December 1982/1894 in Audubon, Iowa. Parents of Edna were Jasper Northup and Mary Elizabeth Quinn.
Siblings of Edna were George Northup, Roy Northup, and Elsie Northup Liberty Lund. Children of William & Edna were Barbara, Eddie, Richard, b. abt 1914, William R., born abt 1917, Dorothy M. Liberty Anderson, born abt 1918, Ruth Liberty, born abt 1921 and George E., born abt 1924. Dorothy Marie Northup married Omer H. Anderson and their children are Barbara Raye Anderson King, born 8/2/1938, died 1/19/1994 in Texas; and Gerald Anderson, born abt. 1941. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Mae C. Liberty Family of Newburyport, MA

George and Ellen Liberty (Laliberte) immigrated from Quebec to Mass in 1924 with children Cora, Henry, Jean, Lorrain, Joseph Leopold and Mary.
As far as we know, they were married about 1904 in Quebec, and lived their lives in Newburyport.

I have a question for you. Do you have copies of the obits for Phillipp & Louisa Mary Liberty? I would like a copy if you do. If you don't I can go to the library and see if I can find them. Just thought maybe there might be an answer to why I have Taylor after her name instead of Therrien. Funny thing is, my stepbrothers names are Therrien. We grew up in Sabattus. I'm very curious about it. Will hope you still get your email through here. Thanks!
