Hey guys! I found some good documentation and can take Jose Donaciano and Juan back 2 steps. They were brothers to my Adolfo and they left San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Still working on the Laredo to Austin connection but it looks like I can link my Laredo Limons to the San Antonio Limons and going backwards to SLP! Which is where i hit my dead end. But someday . . .

PS: If you are with the Austin Limons I am trying to find out your Jose's middle name. Cannot find it anywhere. Drop me a line.

I found the documentation!!!
If you are a San Antonio Limon with Donacian or Juan Limon from SLP I found my connection to you!! And I have info for you! I am still working on Antonio - there are several and I am trying to figure out which one is mine.

I am researching the Laredo Limons and my father in law gave me the names of his uncles who moved to san antonio ages ago. And yesterday I hit paydirt! I found Donaciano & Juan's death certificates and they have the same names as my father in law's grandparents!!

Can I get virtual high fives all around? I cannot tell you how thrilled I am!

So shoot me an email (deannalimon yahoo) and I can share the info!

Also- anyone with Donaciano (chano) - danged if I never knew his name was Jose Donaciano! Had I known that years ago this would have been easier!

My grandfather is Reuben Limon (1926-1984). He lived in San Pedro, CA. I believe his father was Pablo Limon from Mexico. I think Pablo came to AZ.

Hi, my name is Darlene McRae. In researching my line I found a Maria Zeferina Limon born abt. 1710. Much of the documentation supports her birth in Spain. Her father was Jose Salvador Limon. Zeferina married Francisco Maria Josef De Castro who was from Sinaloa, Mex. Zeferina would have been my GGGGGgrandmother. Her father may be a clue to the other Limon's.

It sounds close but . . . My Jose Maria Limon was married Sostenes Bocanegra in 1877. I am wondering if he is a cousin to your Gavino? I hesitate to think it is the same guy remarrying 55 yrs later, but, hey, *grin* it could be.

I found the Jose Maria Limon/Sostenes Bocanegra marriage license in the data base but have not yet gone by to order the microfilm. I was hoping it would have their parents' names on it.

Also- I am not at all familiar with the geography but I have the Jose/Sostenes wedding in Matehuala, SLP. Just an FYI in case that info helps in some way.

I have tracked my family line to Jose Maria Limon married to Maria Felicianna Gonzales in Tlaxcalilla,San Miguelito,San Luis Potosi,Mexico, 1822. Their son Juan Carlos Limon married Eugenia Cruz and birthed Gavino (Gabino) Limon who married Elena (Helena, Alena) Flores, birthed my great grandmother Celia (selia) limon (lemon) married to Manuel Cantu in Bexar County.

He came from Mexico. I heard he was French and was born there during the war. Also he grew up in an orphanage. He is in the 1930 census and married Francesca Aguilar. He died in the 70's and lived in Firebaugh Ca. or worked there and died in Alameda County. That's all I know. He was estanged from his family but came through LA and lived there for a while. 1930 he was living in Oakland.

My dad's father went to the US before he married my grandmother and had a daughter named Dolores Limon. She was born in Santa Barbara in 1944. My grandfather was from Yahualica, Jalisco, Mexico and his name was David Limon Ledezma. I am very interested in finding and meeting my aunt... my dad thinks she may live in the L.A. area, but her surname may have changed after marriage. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. Im in search of any information or if anyone by chance is related to my Great Grandfather Demetrio Limon Lomeli from Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, Mexico.

My Grandma (Rosa Limon Hernandez) tells me that when she was 7 years old her father Demetrio went with a Visa to work in the fields in California and never returned. To this date no one knows what happened to him. They had 10 Children.

He was born on or around 1900-1902 he was approximately 38-41 years of age when he went missing in the year 1940.
His mothers name was Severa Lomeli and his fathers name was Paulino Limon.

Francisca Limon, was born in the kingdom of Aragon, she immigrated to New Spain ( Nuevo Leonne ) pre-Revolutionary Mexico. She was the mother of Magdalena Colunga, and the grandmother of Micaella Martinez. Which ones were born in Villa Del Sol and Villa Del Refujio I'm unsure of. The ancestor was a Roman Catholic Priest who burned two churches, because he rescued an Azteca from being sacriced and he fathered her child. She's five generations of my grandma's.

Limon was a native of San Juan,
