My great grandfather Charles Lindsey left Shenandoah Ohio in 1832. I have some family lists. My aunt fae had the lindsey line back to colonial times, They came to ohio from Va. I have a ppicture of a lindsey store with the sons lined up in fron This picture predates the civil war. I know that my grandfather had older brothers
His name was jesse. His mother remarried after his dads death to a mr gordy. He was a good frien of Lincoln and after lincoln was assinated he donated lincoln's favoreite portion of the gordy-carr farm to the government. To my knowledge there are a lot of related lindsey's in ill.
