I'm Portuguese and my mother's family name is Lino, and so is my.

I'm from Southern Portugal which used to be a place with a strong Jewish connection. But that was centuries ago. Jordan doesn't seem to be a Portuguese name, could it be something else similar to Jordan?

Funeral Program of Alberta LaSaine Williams

Among some papers I have that are my grandmother's, I found a funeral program for her friend Alberta LaSaine Williams, daughter of James LaSaine and Katie Lino LaSaine, family from Georgetown, SC. (last name is spelled LaSane in census records). Alberta's husband was Herbert Williams. I did a blog post about Alberta that includes a link to the full obituary at
http://www.taneya-kalonji.com/genblog/?p=586

If anyone knows any family members, please let me know, I'd love to get the obituary to them.

Taneya
My Genealogy Blog - http://www.taneya-kalonji.com/genblog

He had seven children, five girls and two boys, and one of those two boys was Alfonso Lino, my grandfather. I'm just curious if our lines are connected? Any of these names sound familiar?

K.

Greetings to my cousins Maggie and Patti, you ARE the best. I Am interested in searching for information on the LINO Families Native American history (this would include any relatives from Mexico and "the territories"), as well as those from "the States" of New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. I have two specific Lino male ancestors names
Jose Leandro Longino Lino, my paternal ggrandfather(whose wife was Juana Garcia), and Enrique Lino(Leandro's Dad), and my gggrandfather. Enrique Lino's wife was Josefa Padilla.
Please contact me via E-mail if you have any leads, and Thank You very much.
