I too am looking for Linwood. It is used as a middle name in my family from Va. I do know the name is Scotch and was in Philadelphia very early.

Linwood name is in Philadelphia early, it is of Scottish origin. My VA. ancestor had Linwood as his middle name.

Sorry, I do believe my Linwoods were in Philadwlphia area much earlier. I also feel they came from Scotland.

I've traced my ancestors back to Cambridge in the 16th century. Athough there is a place in Scotland called Linwood, the name is not of Scots origin - there's also a Linwood in England. The name is derived from Limewood.

I have a long line of Linwood as a middle name in my family (Craven). They emigrated from England to Ontario in the mid-1800's. I've traced the Linwood name back to a Mary Linwood who married John Craven in 1812. Do you have anything along that line? I would be excited to hear from you if indeed you do. Thank you.

Here is my story My father ( linwood george Lee 3rd) was kill in may of 1980 by a drunk driver. I was 8 months old, since that time I have never heard from his side of the family. I now have a son of my own and would like to find the rest of my family. My mothers maden name is Sandra wilson . The last I known the lee's were living in North carolina .
