OBITUARY
December 11, 1935 "Green Forest Tribune"
Green Forest, Arkansas
Otis Littrell died on December 4, 1935 at his home after an illness that lasted for many months. His disease didn't seem to be understood. He was treated by home doctors and taken to several different hospitals, but none of them could help him. He was a young man, just in the prime of life. It seems sad for him to leave his family when we realize the need of a father's care. Mr. Littrell leaves his wife and four small children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Littrell; five brothers, Nealie Littrell, Ernest Littrell, Ross Littrell, Ordie Littrell, and Claud Littrell, all of Cedar Vale, Kansas; one sister, Eva Hamon of Omaha; and a host of other relatives and friends. His remains were laid to rest in Denver Cemetery in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Mrs. Minick of Eureka Springs conducted the services. The bereaved family has our deepest sympathy in their loss.

Alex Roller
aroller@opusnet.com

My great-great grandfather was Alexander Littrell born abt 1827 in Kentucky. He married Amanda Christian and had several children including my great grandfather Sydney (Sidney). In 1860 they had a 12 year old boy living with them named Combs. Anybody know what connection he might have with them? Anyone else tracing this family?

Their daughter Mary Shepard married 1st-William Ragon; 2nd- Milton Mealey. At least two of their sons: Samuel Shepard (I have a copy of the obit from Wyandot County papers) and Lewis Clark Shepard ended up in Mystic, Iowa.
Any further information or direction would be appreciated.
Kayleen DePue
