Please, any information would be helpful. I knew my grandmother as Grandma Margo, but was always unsure of the spelling of her maiden name. I recently came across a marriage record of a Marjorie Lobato and Joe Archibeque in Colorado, which is my grandfather's name, and I know they were married in Colorado and that's where my dad was born. I know my dad's family also moved to California when my dad and his brother were younger. I know no other info about when my grandma was born or if she had siblings or her parent's names, but am trying to find all this out. She died when I was a little girl, probably around 1987-1989. I am looking for Juan de la Cruz Rodriguez's birth place. I know he was married to Gumesinda Lobato 18 Jan. 1886 at Antonito, St. Augustine Catholic Church in Conejos, CO. His son's name is Alfredo Rodriguez who was born and grew up in Trinidad, CO.

But, I can't seem to get anymore data on Juan's background. I've been told the ancestry goes back to Spain. If anyone has any other data on this, please e-mail me!

Looking for leads on my Lobato line: Victoriano Lobato was born 1870. He lived in Mogote, CO area and was buried in Conejos. He was married to Refugio Martines (1st wife). His parents were Jose Policarpio Lobato and Maria Romualda Vigil.

Any Lobato info from Conejos / Mogote / Ortiz / Antonito area appreciated as there was a big Lobato family in this region and we may be able to piece things together if we collaborate. Thanks!

I am looking for anyone who has information on Lobatos from the New Mexico area. My great grandfater was Louis Lobato and he was born in 1899. I can not seem to find anything past him as to who his parents were and what not. So if anyone knows anything I would greatly appreciate it.

I am looking for info on Francisco Lobato Nacio born Oct. 4 1859 in Ojo Caliente(?) and his wife Candelaria Valdaz Nacio born Feb 2, 1863 in Conejos Colo(?) they had a daugheter Julia (juliana) Lobato Nacio in Lumberton on Mar 23, 1889. Julia married Mat Arnold in 1907. I just recently uncovered the last name Nacio, everything else I have has Lobato on it. Julia also was an older sister to Corina Lobato/Lovato who just recently passed on a couple of years ago. The didn't share the same parents but I am still trying to piece that together. She lived in New Mexico.

History of Lobato's in New Mexico/Colorado??

I am searching for history of the Lobato's in the Blanco/Turley New mexico Area.. Also the Durango, Colorado area. My Granfather's name was Gregorio Lobato. He changed his name to Charles Long after some trouble with the law and cattle rustling. G/pa Charley left New Mexico and left behind a large family of about 10 children. His wife's name was Anna. Charley settled and died in Myrtle Point,Oregon. G/pa Charley had many brothers and sisters whom lived in the New Mexico and Colorado area.. He has a remaining brother named Gilbert Lobato who resides in Turley, New Mexico and one who live in California?? He also has a living sister but I don't know where she resides.
Any family history would be appreciated.

I am looking for any information on my father's side of his family. His name was Maximiliano Lobato, but was called Max, born Aug. 18, 1901, at Chamita, New Mexico. His parents were Andres Lobato and Romana Velasquez, who were married on March 16, 1898, at the San Juan de los Caballeros parish, which I think is around the Espanola, New Mexico area, ( if it still exists). I believe Andres's parents may have been, Jose Francisco Lobato and Juanita Herrera. If anyone has information on this people I would appreciate hearing from you all. I am presently doing genealogy research and need this information anyone may have, for my book on the Lovato (Lobato) side of my heritage.

I am searching for the parents or origin of Jose Luis Lobato and Mariana Garcia. It is believed tha Luis was a soldier in the Spanish Militia in Santa Fe.

They were married on Aug. 10, 1791 in Santa Fe. He died Aug. 25, 1851, and Mariana died on April 9, 1830. I would appreciate any information regarding this couple. I whould like to hear from anyone who decends from them.

She married David Perez from Pittsburg OK on May 15th, 1946 in Taos NM and this was witnessed by Alfonsa Balbino Lobato. Balbino is still living in Antonito Co. but does not know any information. She was Apache indian and Spanish. I am trying to locate what tribe she belonged to because she is my adopted daughters grandmother and we are trying to trace her heritage. My father's name was Thomas Jose Lobato born Lumberton, New Mexico 11/14/1894-his father was Nestor Lobato born 1832 in Conejos, Colorado and married to Cleofes Sanches born in Cucharas, Colorado born on Nov 28, 1820. Nestor Lobato's father was Luis Lobato, wife Asencion Marquez, and Cleofes Sanches' father was Antonio Sanches, mother Andrerillita Samora all from the Colorado area. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have names of all my father's brothers and sisters but nothing on the grandparents or greatgrandparents.

Does anyone know of a Simpson LOBATO. He is on a marriage certificate of my GGGF who was James Christian LOBATO. The cert. also says James' mother was Aggie Johnston that she and Simpson had James in Canada. James was born about 1864, and married Emily Wright in Melbourne Australia in 1898.
