I am seeking info about a Loft family that lived in London near the Thames during the mid-1800's. Oral history is that there were seven Loft brothers; Frederick and Edwin were the only ones that immigrated to the US. They settled in Marshalltown, IA. Any help will be appreciated.

I am also working on the DeLap, and the Schibsted/
Shipstead/Skibstad families.

Willing to share what info I have.

Hello,
My Name is Mona Lee Anderton DiLucchio, my parents are Mona Eloise Ramesdel(l) and James Duane Anderton, my Mother's Mother is Pauline May Loft(y), my mother's father is unknown, possibly Harry Loft, all that I know of Pauline my Grandmother is that her mother name is Josephine Dudley and she had a brother named Guy Dudley and a brother named Charles Dudley who was married to a Harriett Dudley. I am trying to trace any info that I can for all of the above names that I know of have passed away, and I would love to know more of my hertiage on my Mother's side. Also I would like to know of any Native bloodlines for when both my Mom and Grandmother were alive they spoke of there being Native blood, Cherokee, and Alogonquin.I know that my Grandmoter had roots in Mass. and in New Hampshire. I now live in Rhode Island and would love to hear from all. I don't go on the computer much, but am listed in the phone book under my husband Daniel Dilucchio in Providence RI.

Jennie C., wife of Harry W. Loft, died 1/09/1880, age 38 years.

GEORGE LOFT, 40 CANDY MAN, DIES
George Leon LOFT, son of George W. LOFT, candy manufacturer and
former Representative in Congress, died Thursday of a streptococcus
infection in the Doctors Hospital, Manhattan. He was 40 and lived at
77 Park Ave., Manhattan.
Mr. LOFT was vice president of the George W. LOFT Markets, Inc.;
President of the Skourpak Steel Wool Corporation and vice president and
secretary of the Fifty-four Barclay Street Company. He leaves his father
and his second wife, the former Rose GALLAGHER of Flatbush.
Mr. LOFT was born in New York City. At one time he was a member of the
New York Stock Exchange. He and his father lost control of Loft, Inc., in 1929.
Services were held today with a requiem mass in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.
Church, 84th St. and Park Ave., Manhattan. Burial was in St. Raymond's
Cemetery, the Bronx.

I am looking for ANY info on a man Called Edward Loft. All I know is he lived in Florida and was married to my Great grandmother. She was born in NY to the Goubard family. They had 1 son named Edward Jr .He had a greenhouse with some kind of special type of flowers. We think they got married in NJ but are not sure. Please help if you can. We are at a loss.
