Then we are related. I would be your 2nd cousin. I've made contact with Ann and Ed. Met them about 18 months ago when they were out here in CA. Ann told me your Dad lives in Germany, funny we were there in Germany and Italy in 2010. I've talked with Virgie who is my 1/2 sister. My Mom Angela was your Grandmother's sister.
Are you doing any family research? I've been trying to find out more information on our Great Grandparents but can only go so far.

It is very possible but hard to say. Apparently, there is a town in San Luis Potosi - I think Piedras Negras where just about everyone in the town has the last name of Loredo. I know that my great grandfather's name is Sixto Loredo and I know that Sixto also had a daughter named Rita, but that is all I know of that branch of the tree. Good luck in your search!

Those of you in the Illinois area.......my husbands great grandfather was Benigno Loredo and he died in Chicago about 1979. He was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in about 1898. Any realtion to Benigno?

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Staff Sgt. Edwardo Loredo, 34, of Houston, Texas, died June 24 at Jelewar, Afghanistan, when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

Looking for Irma Loredo. Her parents were Jose Loredo and Mary (Quiroz) Loredo.

I have been able to find that she married and her married name is Hertzing.

Her mother was my mother's (Angela) sister and looking for my relatives as I never met any of them. Did locate my 1/2 sister but she did not provide any information. Long story.

I am researching my Mom's history. She told me her Mother came from San Luis Potosi and her maiden name is Loredo. My Mom said my Grandmother never spoke of her family just that she was from San Luis and her maiden name was Loredo. She married a Narvaez. Ironically, my Uncle's name is Hipolito. I wonder if some where down the road if we are related.

Hello my grandfather was Tomas Loredo Galicia adn My Grnamother was Francisca DeBlas from Villa de Reyes and they moved and settle in San Luis Potosi in the early 1900'. I was born in San Luis Potosi and the Loredos is a large family in San Luis. I do not know if that helps.

My mother's name was vicenta salazar nolasco, her parent's name were eleodoro salazar, and hilaria nolasco. Eustorgio and Vicenta were born at the Buena Vista Hacienda. I noticed that this message was posted years ago but I was wondering if you ever received any further replies that may have been of use to you. My father was born in 1915, his name was also Jose Ernesto Blanco Loredo and my grandparents name were Cerilo and Priscilliana as well. I have seven sibilings and we were all born in Brownsville, TX. From what my mother has told me, in the 1940s, my father migrated to the U.S through the Bracero program.

I know that my grandmother and grandfather was from Mexico but not sure what part. My grandfather's name was Ernesto Loredo and my grandma's name is Amparo Loredo. Maybe there is connection somewhere. I know my grandmother had a sister in Mexico that died not long ago too.

Hi, my name is Marc Loredo from Baytown, Texas and I want to give a brief rundown of my Loredo Family tree off the top of my head. As the majority of others on this board, it seems that my family originates from Puerto Suelo, San Luis Potosi.

Grandmother/Grandfather: Marcos and Antonia(Lopez) Loredo(deceased)

My mom: Gloria Loredo

Uncle: Juan Loredo (went by Johnny/deceased)

Aunt: Teresa Loredo

The people named aboveare from Baytown,Texas. My grandfather was born here but lived most of his young life in San Luis. His father was Juan Loredo from San Luis. Although I cannot remember all of my granfathers siblings names, he had brothers named Augastin and Nieo(sp?)and a sister named Lupe. Although he had many more siblings than that, that is what I remember. I do know that Augastin is deceased and Nieo and lupe are still alive in San Luis Potosi. Nieo is the last remaining brother. Any lost lost relative out there?

My paternal grandfather Diego Cadena Loredo was from SLP as a young man he worked in the gold mines in Puerto Suelo SLP (if there were gold mines there)I do not have any information on parents to either of them only that they had relatives visit them in Runge Texas USA around 1920/1930 last names were zeiz/seis and Nava.

Hello. Just curious. I've been doing research on my Dávila ancestors from San Luis Potosí. My great-great-great-grandfather Juán José Gil Dávila was the son of Juán José Dávila and María Guadalupe Loredo. She was from El Realejo and they were married in Santa María del Río, San Luis Potosí in 1792. Are Juán José Dávila and María Guadalupe Loredo also in your family tree?

My paternal great-grandfather Joseph Robledo, and his wife Maria (Nieto) Robledo immigrated to California from San Luis Potosi pre-1920. They settled in Long Beach by 1920, then in Norwalk by the 1940s.

I don' t know much about my dad's family. All I know is that my grandfather's name was Luis Loredo. He died I think it was back in 1985. I know my dad is one of the youngest sons and he is 51. I will see if I can find out exactly where my dad grew up at. I know he still has sisters that live there.

My dad (Andres Loredo) tells me my family is from San Luis Potosi in the area of Rio Verde specifically Atotonilco (by the old highway). My great grandfather's name was Francisco Loredo Martinez (D. 1952). Thanks for the reply.
