Hello -- I'm researching the Loudon family and recently found a will that opened up new surnames for me : Shannon / Cuthbert / Stewart and Randles. I am hoping to find more information on each of these families to see how they all connect together. Here's the story: Joseph and Jane McConnelle Loudon came to USA from Ireland abt 1800. Joseph was naturalized in 1809. Their children, born in Ireland are Mary Ann and John and born in the USA are Joseph and William. John is my 3rd gr grandfather and married Lovina Leigh. John and Lovina left Argyle abt 1833 for Indiana and their family was raised there. (My info from Indiana is fairly complete.) I've done some research on the extended Loudon family and found that three of Joseph Loudon Sr. siblings also came to America - some went to Indiana as well. I have started census work and have had help using the Argyle Patent and a few other Washington County Resources, but now I think I need to dig deeper and locate other researchers and legal documents.
