I am trying to find the parents of Gwen Lowery born in 1648 in Wales, died in 1730 in Pennsylvania. Her spouse was David Lloyd and there was a son, Thomas Lloyd born in 1671.

John and Harriet Duffy were parents of Margaret Duffy. Again they came from Ireland, so born there.

Mary Lowry daughter of Walter and Margaret married John Godfrey from Ireland.

Hi again! Yes indeed ... North Syracuse, New York - At the moment the coldest city in the state of New York and/or the US for that matter! LOL! I am going to get working on Edward again. You are on the east coast? So am I. I live in Leesburg FL now, that's north central fl, an hour from orlando, & ocala, and about an hour & 1/2 from the west side. I like the warmer usually weather down here. have you looked at my family tree?

I know from previous research that Edward is the fther of George J Lowery Jr who was my ex's father. His stepmother who was married to his father in IL gave us much info. Said Edward had a daughter by the next door neighbor & his wife raised her as one of her own. Then I found Levi on here as the father of Edward. I didn't know if Edward had a ny brothers. Since you have a picture of William's grave, shouldn't that be proof of the correct years? My son is trying to find out if their is any indian in his background. so I will keep searching on this Sarah & Levi also. Perhaps we will find some new stuff. Thank you. I love researching. Kathy

Hi again.

I don't want you to go crazy (like I have in the past thinking that I just busted through the brick wall on the Lowery family) because I am not 100% sure we are correct in the assumption that Levi and Sara are the parents of Edward and William's father. We aren't even sure at this point that their mother's name was actually Sara (Sarah) as I cannot find anything verifying this, anywhere (grrr) just word of mouth from relatives here in New York. A relative has tried for William's birth certificate to no avail (possible birth and death dates are incorrect?!) I am trying to piece the Edward, William, and Sara puzzle pieces together, too. Does your ex-husband have any information, old birth records, death records, anything that might verify Levi and Sara's children, possibly a parent, aunt, uncle, someone who would know this side of the family?

Was hoping you would write back and tell me you had verification :) Still wishing and hoping! :) Will keep digging and trying to verify this possible new find and let you know what I find, if anything. :)

As far as your question on William's family. The answer is yes on the children. I have all the information - Never met him, but he is my father's father. I have met all my father's brothers and sisters, except 1 who was killed at a young age in the war, and I will give you TONS of information if we prove to be "in sync" here! :)

Thank you so much! Every little information is so appreciated. Have you looked at the family tree I started? Lowery family tree? I put my daughter as the beginning as all this info refers to my ex husband and I had to start somewhere, my son is very interested in this also.
so Levi Lowery is the father of Edward & william, did they have any other siblings? Can you tell me more about william's children? names etc? How can I attach your grave pictures to my tree I wonder?

I am grasping at a very long straw here, but would like to believe that your Edward Lowery is related to the Edward Lowery I have been searching for. The story is this ...

My grandfather, William Frederick Lowery was born in 1889, gravestone states 1889-1947. Family stories state that his mother's name was Sara (Sarah?) Spidmore (Skidmore?), thus my corresponding with you (Levi Lowery/Sara). I have no information on his father's name or where they resided or residence at death. On William Frederick Lowery's obituary there is mention of Edward as his brother. William Frederick Lowery was married to my grandmother, Elizabeth (Elise) Lowery DOB 1879, DOD 1970. They lived in Syracuse, New York from approximately 1917 until deaths having 9 children (that we know of).

Would like some information on Elizabeth Lowery (Baxter). She was my grandfather's grandmother. I have been told all of my life that either she or her mother walked back from the trail of tears carrying a baby. Since she was born in 1832 it could have possibly been her? Any information would certainly be helpful. She later married James E. Baxter.

I am new to the search of ancestors and would like any info on Robert Lee Lowery. He was born in Tn on sept 10,1860 and died jul 14,1960 in La. was married twice First wife was Mary E, dont know her maiden name.Born jun 9,1880 died mar1, 1934. Second wife was Ethy jones born dec 20,1896 died mar 29,1982. he is my grandfather and dont know much beyond that. If what i have found is correct, his father was also Robert born 1840 in white county TN. His mother was Julia born in ark in 1845. He would have had 2 sisters, Martha born 1865 and Mary born 1867. I am searching for Simeon Lowery, I can find nothing on him prior to 1850 Wake co nc census, he is listed as being 38 and living alone. He is not located near the other Lowery's of WAKE co. He did marry Sara Petty in 1852 from Chatham Co NC and had 4 children with Sara they were Jesse, Liquinna Elizabeth, Henry Burton(my gggrandfather) and William then he married Julia Richardson in 186? from Cumberland Co NC. They moved to Greene co.TN. he was last listed in the 1870 census in Greene co.with Julia and his children by Sara and Julia. Julia his widow was listed in the 1880 Howell Co. MO census with her children by him. census list his place of birth as NC could he be from Robesson Co? any info GREATLY APPRECIATED I've been looking for many years. THANK YOU

Looking for info on Joseph Lowery. Born March 28 1812 in Ireland. Said to have come from Tipperary (not sure if county of city). Supposedly immigrated during the potato famine, and arrived in New York. He ended up settling in Bridgewater, Michigan and is buried in Manchester Mi.

My dad was Claude Bernard Lowery Sr. His dad was Amos Leroy Lowry, whose father was Doc Payne Lowry. All, along with Dewey Lowry and Reno Lowry, who are Amos' brothers, and my dad's brothers, Paul, Howard Lee, are buried in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Hogansville, Troup Co, GA.

It's a small world and although I don't know of any Browns in my line we are of many Lowerys and McKinneys from Alabama. From Perry county to Blount, Cullman, Jefferson and Walker.
