Does any one have any information on Job Lowrey's pedigree? I believe that he was born in Goochiand County, Va., married in South Carolina, but am unable to locate his father's name or when the family originally immigrated to America. Any information would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Rhonda

I am looking for information on Permelia Lowrey (1843 - 1876, daughter of Jefferson Raufus Lowry and Mary Crew). She married her cousin Andrew Jackson Lowrey (1837-1909, son of Anthony Lowrey and Mary Ann Childrous). Family lore says that she was native american but I haven't seen any documentation of that fact. Permelia is my 2x great-grandmother, and her daughter Mary Luella is my great grandmother.

Thanks in advance.
Rhonda

Jacob Denton Lowrey (1805 TN to 1889 CA)

My 3rd great grandfather was Jacob Denton Lowrey (born 1805 in Tennessee). He came to California during the gold rush. He married Alice (or Allie) Murray.

I am searching for his parents and anything about his wife. I have found on public member family trees a Robert Lowery and Jean Denton listed as his parents. This makes sense, they were both born in Virginia and died in Tennessee. Jacob Denton Lowrey was born in Tennessee and his middle name is Denton. I would like to have sources for these but haven't found any.

Also, my grandmother wrote down his wife's name as Alice Murray (can't find anywhere). Most public family trees list an Allie Murray as his wife but still don't have any information about her.

If anyone is related to Jacob Denton Lowrey please let me know!!!

Daniel Lowery, Lawry, Laury, & other spellings

I’m looking for any info on my 4th great grandfather, Daniel (Lowery, Lawry, Laury, & other spellings), which married Nancy Ann Caton 27 March 1835 in Fauquier Co., Virginia.

Daniel was b. 26 March 1806 (07) in Fauquier Co., Virginia and Ann was b. 4 December 1817, Virginia. Ann was the daughter of Thomas Caton also of Fauquier Co., Virginia.
Not sure if Ann was born in Fauquier or not but they are there in the 1810 census. There was also a Captain Thomas Caton there in the 1700s.

I will be visiting Fauquier Co., Virginia in early June for research. If anyone would have any info and/or would like to discuss this line please contact me. Online information wants to connect my Daniel to the Daniel that married Ann Embrey but I can’t find any documentation to back this up.
Thanks
