I'm looking for any information on Stanislaw Luc or Anna (i believe she came here under the name Aniela Kloc) Luc. I think i found how Anna came here but i cannot find any information on how Stanislaw came to the US. If anyone can help or has any information it would be greatly appreciated.

Stanislaw Luc (1893-1964) Polish from Austria
Anna Luc (1894-?) Polish from Austria
They had four kids together.

I do not know your grandfather, but I am also looking for the Luc family of Bay St. Louis. My greatgrandmother was Cora Luc, daughter of Oscar b 1847 and Agnes Rhodes b 1858. If you have any knowledge of this family, could you please email me at the above address. Oscar and Agnes had several children I have very limited knowledge of:

Cora married William Dewey Stron also from Bay St. Louis. Their children are/were:

Cora Luc

Cora's youngest daughter Evelyn is my grandmother. She was born 19 Nov 1924 at Bay St. Louis, MS. She was raised in an orphanage after Cora died and when William Dewey Strong remarried. Evelyn married Earl Chadwick in 1946 in North Carolina. My mother, Bonnie was born in 1953.

Because Evelyn was separated from her older brothers and sisters, she doesn't have too many memories of them. Evelyn is now in the early stages of Altzimers, but she has wanted for years to find out about her family that was left in Mississippi.

I would appreciate so very much anything you could tell me about the family. I have found out that the Luc family descended from the Luc de Guerre's, but I would especially appreciate any stories or pictures of the family. My father died this summer of cancer at the age of 49. My mother has tried to help her loneliness through searching for her mom's lost Luc family.

This email is at the home of my in-laws. I have a new baby girl- 6 weeks old. Thanks again for your message. Please let me hear from you again.

I saw your message to Bobby and noted that you are a descendant of the Guerry line. My husband's (Edward) family is from Mobile and we do not know a lot about his family. The only names I know for sure are his great-grandfather, Victor Guerry had a son Edward Anthony Guerry. His son was my husband's father, Edmond Victor. Edmond had 3 brothers, Silas Davis Guerry, Franklin Guerry and William Guerry. Do any of these names fit into your history?

Hi Kevin,

I can help with your mother's search. I live in Miss. not far from Bay St. Louis. I am descended through the Luc now Luke family and have been doing much research.

Your Cora Luc was born in 1893 and I have her date of death in 1926. The only husband I have for her was Dewey Willie Strong.. I have no children listed. I would love to have more.

Your mom does have family still living in Ms. specifically in Bay St. Louis and the New Orleans Area. I have several generations back on the Luke Family.. I have only a date of birth and death on your Agnes Rhodes.

The family was having reunions but hasn't had one for the last several years. My family attended the last one and I have an 8x10 of the entire group.

Please let me hear from you, I'll only be too happy to help you and your mom.

I went to school with T.J. but lost track of everybody when I moved to Arkansas in 1962.

First, let me get some names straight. I'm Ray Hinson and I mistakenly entered
Kevin's name where mine should have been on the reply about Willie Strong. My mother
was Veronica Strong, the oldest daughter of Cora Luc and Willie. After Cora died
Willie married again and T.J. was the son of Urith and Willie. I finished Bay High
the year after Marshall in 1950. There is a lot more to this story that I may need
to call you and explain at length. If you would like to call before I get a chance,

Cora Luc's dad, John O Luc's father was John T Luc and his wife was Odele Ladner(Ladnier). She was born 1828. There is an Edward Luc buried in Bay St Louis b.1909 d.1986. I have a nice picture of Cora as a young woman or teen. I can also mail you a picture of Willie Strong with three daughters including my mom Veronica and sisters Eloise and Dorothy.
