hello...I am trying to do some research on my family tree. I know that the LUCIANO name in Puerto Rico originated with 3 brothers from Sicily that stopped in Spain, then came to Puerto Rico after that. They had gotten land to develop and had coffee plantations. It seems there is heavy representation in Hatillo area, Cabo Rojo area, and Ponce area. MY family name is from Ponce, Puerto Rico. My grandfather's name was Reinaldo(also my fathers), and his sister was Ana Esther, He also had 2 other brothers and I believe another sister. Their fathers name was JUAN Luciano and his wife's last name was Negron. Any help would be appreciated, please email me at fluciano.1980@gmail.com.

My great grandmother named Angelina DeLessio had the surname Luciano. My father says she was also known as Giovina instead of Angelina and Nani da Bronx. She was born in Italy and had one son(that I know of), my grandfather, Felice DeLessio. Both died in the mid 1950s like around 1955-57 I have to double check the headstone, which is in St. Mary's Cemetary, Montgomery New York. I saw connections to Naples with the Luciano name and I believe Angelina or Giovina may have been born in that area. She did marry a Carmen DeLessio, she was his third wife, but the history is a bit fuzzy with him, likely buried with one of his other wives or a landfill since rumor has it he did some bad things. Of course wondering if Angelina is some how related to the notorious Lucky Luciano. If you can help with any of this, Thank You.

I have no information and I would like to know anything anyone could tell me about Salvatore Lucania or Charles "Lucky" Luciano. My name is Thomas Evans,and in light of recent information (my father recently told me that my grandfather, Richard Evans, was born Antonio Luciano, which was later changed after adoption to the aforementioned) i have come to believe that my biological great-grandfather is possibly Charlie Luciano. . I have found no records in terms of adoption and have no other information except that my grandfather was born in 1928. My mother is a D'Amico, from the Vietri Sul Mare region of Campania. Hi Renee', I think I've figured out our mystery!!!! I'm going to see if I can connect us up on our trees so we can compare stuff. I have alot of documentation and answers as to why you and I couldn't find info before 1930 census. I also have naturalization info. Does my mom have your phone #? I have unlimited calling so I can call you when you have time to sit with your papers and compare. That would make it easier so I know what to send you.

Early on in this board someone made a claim that all Luciano's in PR descended from three Italian (Sicilian) brothers who settled in the 1870's. This cannot be accurate as I have several Luciano relatives from San Sebastian who were born BEFORE the Italians settled. I do not know where the Luciano name originated, but this story does not hold up.

Hi my name is Angie. I am looking for anyone that might have information on my dad and his family. My father's name was MAnuel John Luciano and he was from Ponce/San Juan Puerto Rico. His father's name was Rosendo and his mother's was Mariana. He had two sisters Annie and Alicia who lived in the Bronx,NY. He also had a brother by the name of Ramon Robles. My dad served in the militar. He was in the Navy, Army and Air Force. His birthdate was July 17th 1926. I have just discovered that he also had 4 other children John, Gloria,Yolanda and Virgina(Gina) from his first wife Grace. I have 3 other siblings, Arlene, Ronnie and Donnie. We are wanting any information that can be given. There is little known about his childhood and his parents.

My aunt is Eneida Luciano and my mother is her sister
Aida Margarita Luciano they are the 2 remaining daughters of Baldomero Luciano. They all settled in Santurce and Tio Angel was my Great Uncle. Yes we are all family!!! Eneida lives in Santurce and my Mom Aida lives in NY since 1947. I visit my Aunt several times a year and my Mom has a cousin in Brooklyn Angelica who is Tio Angel's daughter and Victor is her brother. Most of all the Luciano brother's were barbers in Santurce

Looking for parents & siblings of Ernesto Luciano (Ernesto Luciano y Santiago). He is my maternal great-grandfather. As of 1930 US Census, he is listed as married to Juana Laguer Y Rodriguez with 9 children (only 4 of them his issue).

One family baptism certificate lists his father's name as "Severiano Luciano" but no mother's name, altho Ernesto used traditional placing of father's surname then mother's surname. "Santiago" was dropped upon emigrating to NYC from PR in the late 1940s.

In my researchs I have found that our last name comes from sicily an island close or is part of Italy.. In the findings in the history the last name came into puerto rico by a mafia assasings known by "la mano negra" yes this last name come sicily and we do have Italian ansestors, the reason why we are always looking for more information is beacuse this group were all a secret spanish set during the inquisition, there for there is alot of secrets based on the type of job this last name had that keeps us from really getting our history. I do see alot of finding linking Sicily and Lucky Luciano know as a big mob in the united states... we can surely say that we are part of that family neadless to say.

I am looking for relatives of my Luciano. Ernesto Luciano (y Santiago) born in PR approx. 1892 & died in NYC in 1955. He spent a portion of his life living in Aguadilla & La Perla before moving to NYC in the mid-late 1940s.

My father Antonio Luciano is originally from Puertorico, his family traveled back to Buffalo New york where they are still expanding greatly today. His father "my grandfather" names was Juan. Luciano. Diaz. I am also trying to find out where my grandfather died and was buried in Puertorico. I was also told he was Italian. But by his name it could have been his father and his mother spanish. After my grandfather died they traveled to Buffalo sometimes in the 1940's. He was still young when he died around 51 or 52. Hope we can help each other.

My name is Roberto J. Luciano Hernandez son of Roberto Luciano-Perez and Carmen Hernandez Santiago, both from Peñuelas, PR. All I know is that my grandfather, whom I did not get to know, were Heraclio Perez and Evarista Luciano. I am searching for info on Jewell Luciono (record shows Lucino but also Luciano[i]) married a Harry F. Sorey in Cook County, IL 22 Sep 1934. They had 2 children: Diane Gail Sorey (b. Oct 1938) and Donald Sorey aka 'Punkie" (possible birth in 1944). Jewell's mother was Gladys "Pat" Hayes who was my great-aunt. Unknown any further info on Harry; Jewell died in Florida in 1998. It is possible that their children Diane and Donald are still alive and I would love to find them or any of their children/relatives. I have quite a bit of info and photos of the Hayes family but still have gaps. I would love to hear from anyone that is related or has further info.
Gladys was the daughter of Thomas Elzia Hayes (b.1862 OH) and Florence Tow/Sharp (b. 1875 in TN). They had children George Eli, Herman Edgar (my grandfather), Minnie Alice (m. Carl McMillen), Gladys Rose "Pat" (m. a Domonic Luciono and then a Clyde Elmer Hayes), Willis Viola "Billie", Ralph Roderick "Roddy", Lee Baxter, and Arthur Eugene 'Gene.

My fathers name was Nestor Rafael Luciano - he passed away about 10 years ago in 1995. I believe their mother's last name was Efre. They lived in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
