I am pretty sure Cuebas is the original spelling. This is the old Spanish way of writing Cuevas. San Juan and San German are two of the oldest towns in PR and the Cuevas family there always have used the "b" instead of the "b" (the old way). In Caguana in the 1800's people were writing "Cuebas" as their last name instead of Cuevas.

I'm Los Angeles, Ca and I'm currently in the US Army always curious and lookig for Lugo's and I'm seeing a a lot of Lugo's in the army but most of them are Puerto Rican and can't seem to figure it out.

My grandfather is Juan Lugo, Johnny, which we called "Papa". Chombo was my Great Grandfather, Aquilina was his wife. My grandfathers sisters are Jennie, Reina, Elsie, Mirta, Miriam, and he had two brothers that I know of, Hector and Anthony. I am looking for Ismael Lugo. I know very little about him other than back in 1977 he was married with 5 children. He worked as a painter. He lived in the Bronx in an apartment building. He had an affair with a women who was also married with two young boys at the time. The affair resulted in a child-a girl who is now 35 years old. Want to find him or relatives that can advise of his location.

My great-grandmother was Gudelia Lugo of Mexico. Gudelia was of Spanish descent and moved to Laredo, Texas around 1905 and married my great-grandfather, Edward Joseph Garrett. They had six children, one of whom was named Prince.
I am searching for any information on Gudelia (or E.J. Garrett). My grandfather was their youngest son, Abraham.
My family history states that Gudelia was from a weathly Spanish family living in Mexico. Gudelia was disowned by her family upon marrying my great-grandfather, who is rumored to have fled to Texas from Kentucky after shooting and killing a descendent of either the Hatfield's or McCoys. The Lugos may have been granted land in Texas and/or California from the U.S. government and I heard they once owened a racetrack.

My Grand mother name was Carmen Lugo Lopez. My actual aunt's name is also Carmen Lugo Lopez. But we are not puerto Rican, we are from Nicaragua. As far as I was able to know who was the first Lugo member on my family tree is Saturnino Lugo, he came from Spain by the end of the 19th century and came to Nicaragua, apparently he was a rich business man and he came to buy and possess many lands. I've heard he had around 10 wives and many sons and daughters all accross the country. My Grand father name was Humberto Lugo.

Searching for any descendants of Albert Benjamin Lugo, born in California abt 1878 and his wife Charlotte "Lottie" Garcia, born in Los Angeles in 1896. They married in Los Angeles in 1914 and had at least thirteen children, twelve of whom presumably lived to adulthood. Some of the Lugo children married surnames Key, Burton, Reidel, Teeter, Givens, Newman, Chapman, Aszkenazy, Baker.

Albert's mother was probably Altagracia Bedoya and his father may have been Carlos / Charles Lugo.

Hey this was my original quiery two years ago and yes i do beleive we are related in some way if you can look at my family tree i made alot of new connections. Im really scetchy w/alot of stuff.
I found out via a baptizmal record my grandparents were Don jose lugo ramos or ramos lugo,and my grandmother rumalda Lopez,and I found out that my great grandparents were Juan lugo,and carmen ramos y santiago.

Lugo Family & The Philippines

Hello, I am part of the Lugo family on my mother's side, was wondering about some of the history of the Lugo family. I know that they originally lived in Italy and traveled to Spain, and then somehow scattered across the globe, but my question in particular is how some/one of them reached the Philippines? My mother and I are from the Philippines, and am very curious to know who and/or when the Lugos left Spain if anyone has that information. Also, any other background information would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small the fact may be. Thank you very much! :)

Francisca Lugo was my great great grandmother she is buried in Abilene, TX I've never heard of the names you mentioned. I know in the past when I first started searching for information on Francisca I came across another Francisca Lugo but she was linked to some other family somewhere in south Texas I can't remember.

My Great Grandmother was Rosaria Pantoja(s) who was born in San Gabriel in 1857. She married Guadalupe Francisco Lugo about 1878-79 They had 4 children, Estella(Estefana), Dolores, Francisco, and Juan. After the death of Guadalupe Lugo, Rosaria and her teenage children moved to Hanford, CA. I have been searching for a marriage record of Guadalupe Francisco Lugo and Rosaria Pantoja or Pantojas. she had only one son with jesus torres and she was born in 1912. may be she is the sister of Cresencio lugo. i know she had a sister hell maybe more but the name i was given by my mom was Dominga. i have the marriage of my dad and my mom and states that Francisca lugo was the daughter of Sebastian vasquez with no mothers name. i hoping this is her. let me know asap. thanks

From what I came up with Francisca Lugo married Pablo Moncibaiz in Abilene around 1911 and they had 11 children. I don't know much about her past prior the marriage. From what I was told she could have been Cresencio's sister not sure about though.
