Dear Alan,

Sorry to keep you waiting so long! We've had my children from the States and Oslo, and 2 grandchildren here for several days, and I'm far behind on my emailing, etc.

So good to find you on the Net! I'm a realative new-comer, so am still a bit "green" in most areas. Of course I was over-delighted to find that the Internet is a virtual heaven for genealogists of all kinds. I've decided to do the following: When I see a relatively "quiet" month coming, I plan to spend a little money and subscribe to one of the (probably "your") genealogy website, and really concentrate on getting as much as I can get from a 1-month subscription, if you know what I mean.(Any thoughts about that?)

I really haven't done so very much more on my research the past few years; the hobby has just taken a back seat for a while, but I'm anxious to get going again. I have a new computer, and of course, Internet connection, so I have about all I need for moving ahead a bit.

How about you? Are you "full-time" in this "busuness"? I still haven't learned much about sending info, especially charts over the Net. Do you know how? Maybe it's obvious that we should at least send each other our current charts. What do you think? I'd be glad to; maybe you could give me a few pointers.

Looking forward to contact again,

Jonathan S. Lyle
